The Wednesday Market: Volunteer Needed to Make the Milk Run
Dear Friends,
We need a new volunteer to be our “milk runner.” The milk runner is the person who picks up milk, cream, butter, and other items from The Good Shepherd Dairy in McDonough to fulfill our Wednesday Market orders. For several months Robin Hiatt has been our milk runner, and this is her last week. Please join me in thanking her for her service. If you are interested in volunteering for this vital function, please contact Sharon Fox for more details. Sharon’s number is (404) 569-0582.
Thanks,
Beverly
Duluth Cottage Kitchen: week 19/2020
time for some heads to roll
no, no!
what were you thinking?
I was talking about lettuce!
we will attend Suwanee Farmers Market again next Saturday May 9th, 8-12
so there will be no veggie pick up on Saturday
what else is new?
kales and collards really are on their last leg now,
spinach is done, if you have not yet tried my summer spinach, lambs quarters, please do so,
lambs quarters are nutritious, mild greens, you can use just like you would spinach
and they will be around until frost kills them
looking forward to seeing you here or in Suwanee
your humble veggie gardener

Good morning,
Be sure to place your Online Market order by 8 pm TONIGHT! There is still a lot of produce available, help your self and the farmers by ordering fresh, healthy vegetables this week!
Be sure to check out the “Virtual Fiber Day” while you’re at it. This Friday would have been our first Market in Town Park, help support our vendors if you can and remember Mother’s Day is on Sunday!
One more thing, we’ve also updated our seeds and we have a lot of live plants available if you are in the mood to start that garden we’ve all been thinking about.
To Shop: Independence Farmers Market.
Several of you have not scheduled your pick up times, please get those in as soon as possible! Calendly.
Thank you for supporting the Independence Farmers Market!

Champaign, OH: Time Slot-Part 2
Sorry!
Two things…in my previous time slot email, I meant to say, Friday pick up, not delivery!
Also, a few of you use three names with your last names. If that’s the case, our system puts you alphabetically with the second name.
If you use, say, Jane Doe Smith, the site places you in the D category!
XOXO
Champaign, OH: Tomorrow's Time Slots
We had a record amount of customers, this week!! Over 100!!
So…last night, I stayed up late to run reports, give out last week’s credits for the lettuce, and divide the names into time slots.
A-C…4pm-4:30
D-H…4:30-5:00
J-P…5:00-5:30
Q-S…5:30-6:00
T-Z…6:00-6:30
It’s going to be a full house!!
I ask everyone to pull forward, as far as possible to where I will greet you, under the awning, and near the courtyard.
There are an amazing amount of plants and florals which will be set up in the courtyard, with a market helper, bringing those to your car, as well!
As soon as you are loaded with your market items, you may go ahead and exit! We do ask that if you need to get out of your car to go into the shop, please pull out of the mainstream of traffic.
I have strategically placed the same numbers into each time slot, so if at all possible, pay attention to your times!
Let me know if you would like to be Friday delivery!
Ok…I am off to bake the day away, and look forward to seeing all you, tomorrow!
XOXO,
Cosmic Pam
The Cumming Harvest - Closed: Weblog Entry
I hope everyone is staying safe this week and in the near future. To reiterate what was said last weekend:
We will open the market this week and our pickup on Saturday will largely be the same as previous weeks. In response to concerns over Covid-19 we will disinfect and sanitize all shared surfaces before and after business is conducted in the market. We ask that if you are feeling under the weather that you please refrain from placing an order this week or send someone else to pickup for you. Please follow all sanitary precautions put out by the CDC as we are following those guidelines as well and we want to keep everyone as safe and healthy as possible.
We are doing our best to keep you safe as well as our staff and volunteers. We are doing everything we can to provide alternative options for pickup to ensure your safety. We have had concerns brought up about how safe the market is and we would like to say that this is a service that we are providing. It is imperative that as the customer you understand that it is also your responsibility to keep yourself safe. We can take all the precautions we can to keep the market clean and sanitary but it is also your choice to make a calculated risk to leave your home during this shelter in place order. We want to make this pickup go as smoothly as possible which is why we have moved pickups outdoors as well as encourage you to pay online so there is less interaction and less touching of shared surfaces. Please help us help you as we do not want to have to shut down the market. This would effect you negatively as well as our growers who are doing their best to provide this service during these trying times.
We know that you are eagerly awaiting our Back in Time Farm chicken to be available again. They have been sold out but they should be back in stock by the last week in May! Thank you for your patience.
Thank you, Happy Shopping!

Champaign, OH: Rock On
Rock on, ooh my soul
Hey, kids, you boogey, too, did ya?
Hey shout, summertime blues
Jump up and down in my blue suede shoes
Hey, did you rock and roll, rock on
And where do we go from here?
(Rock On-David Essex)
Good morning, and welcome to your 70’s flashback of song tunes, this morning…
But, really, I am totally shouting, and rockin’ on over last night’s market closing!
You rocked, you rolled, and we closed out the week not only shattering our highest record of two weeks ago, but also making it look like child’s play!
My love for you is strong, my gratitude, immense, and from myself, your co-market manager, and our vendors…we thank you, so very much!!
I am getting ready to send a separate email with tomorrow’s time slots!
If you would like to be a Friday pick up, please let me know, if you did not already specify!
Also…if you are paying by card, and I do not already have your information, you can call me, today, with that!! It does help us, so much, not to have to take time to run a card through the pick up line, but also understand if you are not comfortable with that! Just expect a bit of wait, while running the cards!
Checks made out to Oakview Farm Meats, are perfect! Cash, in ziplock bags with your names…excellent!! Again, if we need to stop and make change…time slog…but, again, we understand!
The market will only continue to grow with product, and we look forward to bring it all to you, each and every week…
Rock On, babes…you are the best!
XOXO,
Cosmic Pam
Berea Gardens: More than I thought!
Hi Folks,
I underestimated the amount of Broccoli and Cauliflower we would have available for today’s market, so if it showed as “Sold Out” when you tried to order you can still get some today. The online ordering is closed, but if you come by the market today between 4 and 7, we should have plenty to satisfy your needs. For those that have other items ordered we can easily add these for you when you pick up.
Blessings,
Bob and Lynnita
