Augusta Locally Grown:  IMPORTANT NOTE: ALG Delivery

Good Morning!
Our market will open in a few hours and you will see a new option.
ALG will be beta testing a to-your-door delivery system.
Our desire has always been to bring nutritious, locally sourced products to our community and feel that a contactless delivery system is truly needed during this time.
Here are the steps for the ALG Delivery:
-add ALG Delivery to your cart when placing your order.
- double check that the address listed in our system is your correct address as this is the one we will deliver to.
-You must pay online in order to receive ALG Delivery. Place your order.
-On Tuesday between 4-7 our driver will deliver to your address. You may place a cooler at your door if you wish. If not our driver will place the bags on your doorstop, knock once, take a picture to record the order as delivered, and leave.
-Enjoy fresh locally-sourced, small business supporting food conveniently!

*we are keeping the delivery cost low at $10 for the customer. This just covers our costs. Please consider adding a donation to your order. Any amount helps ALG provide for our community during this uncertain time.
*this is a beta test. We’re expecting some hiccups and appreciate your patience and feedback.
*ALG is not liable for missing or stolen products.

I’m looking forward to see this truly help our community.

Many Smiles.
Rebecca van Loenen
ALG Executive Director

Champaign, OH:  Let Us Be Your Light...

When the night has come
And the land is dark
And the moon is the only light we’ll see
No I won’t be afraid, no I won’t be afraid
Just as long as you stand, stand by me
And darlin’, darlin’, stand by me…
(Stand By Me-Ben E King)

Well, here we are, a Friday morning that in the past would have been any Friday morning with me writing any ole thought that came to my head about you, us, the market, our love for local…and now, here we are in new territory, but you know what? My sentiments remain the same…you, us, the market, our local love, and our determination in bringing you all that you need, or even just want.

This market is perfect for everyone, right now. You can order from your home. You are practicing your social distancing. You are not shopping with the masses in the public big box stores. We have things in stock. It’s a lovely drive out to the country, to the farm, where we are now conducting the market. If you prefer to not leave your car, we will bring your order out to you. If you want to come inside, say hello, grab a few things from the shop, we are doing extra cleaning, and taking every step to ensure that your shopping experience is a healthy one.

It’s the same market, just a different location, but now, more than ever, we need each other…

Stand by me…

XOXO,
Cosmic Pam

Champaign, OH:  Good Evening!

Hello, lovely customers!

What a confusing week, confusing times, and me, trying to make sense of what to do!

We can not operate out of the YMCA, and I didn’t want to close the market down, so this has been on my mind, trying to cobble something out!

Here it goes… for the time being, the market will open, as usual, operate on the same time frame for ordering, you will place your orders, just normally, via the market, and it will close, as usual, Tuesday evening!

The only difference is that your pick up point will be at Oakview Farms, 1645 St. Rt. 54! The same pick up time as usual!

The other difference is that all payments will be done, on site, since we do not have cards on file!

We think this will be a great option to continue the continuity on a weekly basis!

Paul gave us his thumbs up, so with that, we are live!

Thank you!!!!!!!!

XOXO,
Cosmic Pam

Good evening,

I hope everyone out there is well! Our Market pickup went great tonight, a huge thank you to everyone who participated.

Next week, we ask that all customers stay in their cars and wait for products to be delivered to your window. If possible, please have a check ready with your total (if you order meat by the pound, your total will be different, Michelle will let you know on Wednesday what you owe). Feel free to text or call Abby at 541-243-3899 to let her know when you will arrive, otherwise, we’ll keep an eye out for you and have your order bagged and ready to go.

Please stay tuned for updates, as you know, conditions are rapidly changing day by day. Shopping locally may have never been so important, thank you all for the continued support. Virtual hugs to everyone, you guys are the best!

If you have some extra time, and let’s face it, most of us do, plant a garden! You can even save on shipping and order Southern Exposure Seeds on the Online IFM!

To Shop: Independence Farmers Market.

Thank you for supporting the Independence Farmers Market!

Statesboro Market2Go:  IMPORTANT update for Market2Go customers

Thank you for your support of Market2Go! We’re pleased to be able to offer online shopping and drive-through pickup for your fresh local food and essential products.

We’re mindful of keeping ourselves, our vendors and our customers healthy by following sanitation guidelines and maintaining social distance. Market2Go vendors are exercising care in the packing and handling of your orders, and delivering those orders to us in a low-contact drive-through process. We’ve redesigned our order pickups to minimize social contact.

Our pickup procedure has changed! Statesboro customers will still pick up their Market2Go orders at the Statesboro Convention and Visitors Bureau at 222 South Main Street, but you will not need to go into the building. Instead, the Market2Go staff will greet you at your vehicle, confirm your order and then bring it out to you. If you ordered home delivery service, it will be delivered on Thursday evening. We will contact you about a time frame.

Here’s the new drive-through procedure.

  • Please arrive between 4:30 and 6:30 at the SCVB, 222 South Main Street.
  • Drive around to the right (counter clockwise) toward the rear of the building, forming a line of vehicles. We’ll serve customers in the queue, starting at the end of the ramp.
  • Provide access to your vehicle and to the containers you want loaded (bags, boxes or coolers); e.g., unlock the back door or pop the trunk, with containers inside.
  • Wait in your car for the runner to return with your order and load into your containers.
  • Provide credit card or check. (You may pay cash in exact amount, but to reduce money handling, any “change” from cash received will be credited to your account.

We’re very excited about instituting this new drive-through pickup and about the huge response from our customers, old and new — our orders this week are four times our weekly average! . We know our first day will be a challenge, and we’re hoping we can count on your help.

Here’s how you can help:

  • Be patient and be prepared to wait in line.
  • Allow plenty of time for your pickup — you must be in the queue before 6:30
  • Help us maintain social distance and avoid contact with unsanitized items
  • Bring containers for your order (bags, boxes, bins) but leave them in your vehicle
  • Do NOT offer to return egg cartons, produce containers or other used items
  • Recognize that because of exceptional volume, some items may be sold out; your order will be adjusted and you won’t be charged for any items the vendors can’t deliver.
  • Bring a credit card or check for payment. For future orders, pay online with credit or debit card — we’ll help you register your card. .
  • (Again) Be patient — we’re in this together.
  • Let us know if you have ideas to improve our pickup process.
  • Tell your neighbors and social media friends about Market2Go drive through.
  • Tell the vendors how much you appreciate their making good food available.
