Champaign, OH:  Nobody Knows...

And we set out so long ago
Search the heavens and the Earth below
Nobody knows how to get back home

Through the darkness to the dawn
And when I looked back you were gone
Heard your voice leading me on
Through the darkness to the dawn

Love is deep as the road is long
And moves my feet to carry on
It beats my heart when you are gone
Love is deep as the road is long

Nobody knows how the story ends
Live the day, doing what you can
This is only where it began
Nobody knows how the story ends
Nobody knows how the story ends…
(The Lumineers)

Hello, lovely market customers, and vendors!! I’m here to wish you all a love filled evening, and a happy start to the market week of ordering.

It was so nice to see all of you, today, and this evening. You all bring me so much joy. You all have help to build this market into so much more than I could ever have hoped.

And, we all know that things cannot build without hope, determination, love, peace, communal spirit, compassion, and all of us helping eachother.

If you were a market customer, this week, you would have found a little surprise in your boxes. I gave each of you little starts off of my many succulents, called, Mother Of Thousands. I love that so very much. Just the name resonates love. My thought in passing the starts to all of you, is that you will read the instruction sheet, and let them take root, transplant, grow them with love and patience, and when they are old enough, they will give tiny little plant babies on it’s edges. You can then remove them, and begin to collect them, and maybe pass on to others. You know…a love chain that just keeps going.

I choose this song to open the market, this evening, because it is one of the most lovely songs with lovely lyrics. On this eve, of what will be a very somber day, tomorrow, I felt it said exactly what I hoped to convey.

I will not be posting, tomorrow. The market is open, and I will watch your orders, but for me, tomorrow needs silence, and peaceful thoughts, and love.

As we do, each year, on the eve of 9/11, we all look inwardly, and outwardly. We search our own hearts, and we look at our brotherhood/sisterhood to make sure everyone is ok. Everyone feels love. Everyone feels peace. No sense will ever be made of what happened. But with enough love, we can ease each other. And we need that, now, and always.

So, maybe it was timely to send out the Mother of Thousands to all of you, tonight. Love passing more love on…

Keep the peace, lovelies…

XOXO,
Cosmic Pam

Statesboro Market2Go:  Market2Go Pickup!

MARKET PICKUP TOMORROW

Special Event This Week

Two of our artisan vendors, The Boro Soapery and ClayStf by Jill, will be setting up booths at the SCVB during drive-through on Thursday from 3:30-6:30 for a “pop up” market! Diana Liggett will offer her full range of soaps including lotion bars, shave soaps and shampoo bars. Jill Smith will display functional pottery — mugs, bowls, platters and vases — that are microwave and dishwasher safe. Buy their products on Market2Go (we’ll put them in your box) or purchase directly from the vendors at their booths. Customers who want to participate should wear masks and observe social distancing!

Market2Go pickup in Statesboro is now at the Statesboro Convention and Visitors Bureau (SCVB) at 222 South Main Street. All pickups are on Thursday.

STATESBOROTHURSDAY Drive Through at SCVB starts at 3:30.

  • Last names A – G 3:30 pm — 4:30 pm
  • Last names H – N 4:30 pm — 5:30 pm
  • Last names O – Z 5:30 pm — 6:30 pm

SYLVANIATHURSDAY Pickup at Victory Gardens General Store

  • All Sylvania customers 4:00 pm — 5:00 pm

Want to change your pickup time? The purpose of the time slots is to try to achieve an even flow so nobody has to wait too long. But we want this to be convenient for you: if you need to change your time slot or location, please text 912.481.2263, tell us the ORDER NAME and the TIME you would like to pick up. We will even assign you some “bonus time” if you need to come after 6:30. Just let us know so we can make sure your order is in the right place at the right time. Please do NOT come before 3:30 as this creates a traffic backup.

Remember! When you head out to your pickup location, be sure to take a mask, a placard with your order name(s), and appropriate containers for your food.

THE DRIVE-THROUGH PROCEDURE in Statesboro.

  • Drive to the right (counter clockwise) all the way around the SCVB, keeping to the outer perimeter and maintaining a tight queue. A volunteer will check you in as you come around the far side of the building.
  • Please display the name(s) for your order(s) on a windshield placard to assist in quick and safe check-in.
  • Please wear a mask while communicating with market staff.
  • Provide access to your vehicle and to the containers you want loaded (bags, boxes, bins or coolers); unlock the back door or the trunk, with containers inside.
  • We recommend that you bring a cooler for transporting meat, dairy and perishable items. Ice cream melts, even in a short car trip, and our fresh non-homogenized milk is temperature sensitive.
  • Wait in your car for the runner to come out with your order and load into your containers. Make sure your name placard is visible.
  • If you did not prepay on line with a debit or credit card, please make a check for exact amount when your order is delivered. (You may pay cash in exact amount, but any “change” from cash received will be credited to your account. Use an envelope to label the cash payment with your order name.)

PICKUP for SYLVANIA CUSTOMERS.
Pickup is across the street from the Victory Gardens General Store. Please remain in your car until volunteers bring your order, and wear a mask when interacting with volunteers. We recommend that you bring a cooler for transporting meat, dairy and perishable items.

HOME DELIVERY CUSTOMERS.
Orders will be delivered between 2:00 and 5:00 by Boro Takeout. You will receive a notice when your driver is on the way. We recommend you leave a cooler at the front door (or your designated delivery location) to facilitate no-contact delivery and to keep perishable food safe.

EBT CUSTOMERS.
Right now we can scan EBT/SNAP cards only at the Statesboro pickup location. So, if you have ordered online with the intent to pay with your EBT card, you’ll need to come to the Statesboro Drive Through at the Convention and Visitors Bureau between 3:30 and 6:30. Email or text us in advance so we can calculate your bonus dollars and the amount to be charged to your card.

Champaign, OH:  Morning Has Broken

Morning has broken like the first morning
Blackbird has spoken like the first bird
Praise for the singing
Praise for the morning
Praise for them springing fresh from the Word
Sweet the rain’s new fall, sunlit from heaven
Like the first dew fall on the first grass
Praise for the sweetness of the wet garden…

Song Implant: Customer Susan Lantz

Well, I can’t think of a more beautiful song to greet you with. I found Susan’s song title, inside her ziplock bag, with her payment. I love when you all tuck these songs into places because they are like little love notes when I find them.

This song, also, reminds me so much of my elementary school years, and our cool, hip student music teacher who came to us for one term. I know I have mentioned this before, but she was like no other teacher we had experienced. Her groovy wardrobe, her zest for everything, and her introducing us to her music, this song being part of that. We got to toss aside our usual boring music class songs, and got to listen to albums, and listen to her talk about having been at different music events, and she let us sing all of these songs. This song always reminds me of her, and I wish I had been older, then, to have really realized the world that she opened up to many of us. But, I realize it, now, and somewhere, out there, I’m hoping she knows how many lives she really opened up…

And, also on this lovely morning, I want to thank you all, so much, for coming out in full force, on a holiday weekend, to show the market so many orders, and so much love!!

I feel confident that we can handle no time slots, tomorrow!! We are without my father for about a month, as my parents are away on vacation. But, I know we can do this!!

So, tomorrow, come anytime between 4pm-6pm!! If you need a Friday pick up, please let me know, and I will mark it on your order forms!!

Bring me your songs, too…I simply love getting your musical notes!

XOXO,
Cosmic Pam

The Cumming Harvest - Closed:  September is here

Good morning everyone,

It seems September is here, with cooler weather to start. We are so excited.

Now is the perfect time to stock up on all veggies and produce. Now it’s also a great time to tell your family and friends about the Cumming Harvest and spread the news.

Don’t forget to pick up your items the week you order them, to avoid a five dollar holding fee. This fee will be applied 2 weeks in a row, and if you do not pick up on the second week we will donate the items to Meals By Grace.
And remember the market hours are from 10 AM until 12 noon sharp.

As always, please feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns.
