Washtenaw Organic Collaborative: Washtenaw Organic Collaborative - Ordering Open Dec. 2-16 for pickup Dec. 19
We’ve decided to hold one final holiday market for this year! Ordering opens Wednesday Dec. 2 thru Dec. 16.
No-contact pickup on Saturday Dec. 19th.
NEW! This month we are thrilled to be adding 2 new producers who offer the most delicious and most conscientious food available anywhere:
- Warda Patisserie - a small Detroit based Pâtisserie making sophisticated, hand-crafted seasonal pastries influenced by travels and life in Algeria, France and Asia
- Shoreline Wild Salmon - wild Alaskan line-caught salmon and fish
We started the weekly WOC as a collaboration among Brines Farm, Raindance Organic Farm and Slow Farm, and have been extremely grateful for the strong support we’ve received from our community. We’ve gathered strength and resilience in navigating the COVID pandemic by adding other farmers and producers who share our values including:
- Baseline Farm - truly grass-fed pastured beef
- Birddog Baking - diverse, local, wholegrain breads and bakery items
- Dancer Creek Farm – family farmed livestock
- Little House Homestead – free range eggs
- Rustic Roots Farm – family farm dedicated to bees, sheep, chickens, gardening, and woodworking
When you make a purchase through the Washtenaw Organic Collaborative you are directly supporting local food businesses (mostly women-owned!) who value sustainable and regenerative practices, the highest standards of care for employees, animals, soil, and waters and long-term commitment to our communities. Thank you for your support and for all that you do to create the world as it should be.
We are wishing you and yours a very safe, healthy, and restorative holiday season.
The Cumming Harvest - Closed: December is here!
Happy Wednesday!
We hope everyone had a wonderful thanksgiving! Welcome to December!
We will be closed the following Saturdays:
December 26th for Christmas week.
January 2nd for New Years week.
If there are any questions regarding the holiday schedule please don’t hesitate to reach out.
Don’t forget to pick up your items the week you order them, to avoid a five dollar holding fee. This fee will be applied 2 weeks in a row, and if you do not pick up on the second week we will donate the items to Meals By Grace.
And remember the market hours are from 10 AM until 12 noon sharp.
As always, please feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns.

Champaign, OH: Ain't No Sunshine
Ain’t no sunshine when she’s gone
It’s not warm when she’s away
Ain’t no sunshine when she’s gone
And she’s always gone too long anytime she goes away…
(Bill Withers)
One of my personal favs, and, today’s song implant comes from long time market customers, The Follsteadts.
I got an email from them, the other night, with this song title, because their market customer account got sent to an inactive status, and they were not getting my emails or market updates. I loved that they felt no sunshine without my ramblings…lol.
Anyway, yesterday was certainly living up to this song. Wow, what a really blustery, cold, and snow/ice day.
But, the sunshine is on it’s way, again, babes!! And, the sunshine certainly shined on this market, this week, because of your love!!
Sales were at a record high, and the vendors and managers thank you, kindly!
Just a note about tomorrow’s pick up. There is construction, and it’s a pain, but this time, it’s a pain for people coming from Urbana. If you are coming from the Springfield direction, your are good to go!
Urbana…I have no good answers, other than if you are coming from town, which is the direction I came, yesterday, I would go 68 and take a left on Campground Road. It’s pretty, and scenic, and will drop you at 54, where you will then take a left to the farm.
If you are coming from the country, say where I drive from my house, close to Mutual, I would either come 29, to Three Mile or Dugan, jump on Sloan Rd, to Short Cut, and take a left onto 54 to the farm. Or you can map out your own route…lol…Ugh, I failed, horribly at map reading, and Siri is my best friend…
I am not going to divide you out into time slots, so just line up, and I will deliver the goods to your cars.
If you are new to the market, and want to put a card on file, please call me, today! 937-926-4833.
If you need a Friday pick up, at the greenhouse, between 10am-12pm, please let me know if you are not already set up for Friday pickup!
If you are a new customer, to us, from the Hippie and the Farmer’s partnership with Clem N Thyme Nutrition, I will be delivering your orders to their Yellow Springs farm offices, Friday, after 1pm! AND…I definitely need card information for you guys!!
If you are coming to market pick up for the first time, at the farm, the address is 1645 St. Rt. 54, Urbana. Just in case Siri is also your best friend…
Much love, many thanks, and I look forward to seeing all of you, tomorrow, between 4pm-6pm!
XOXO,
Cosmic Pam
