Martin's Farmstand: Summer Hours begin today at Martins Farmstand
Summer hours begin today! The normal stand open hours from May- November are 10 am to 6 pm Monday through Saturday. We are always closed on Sundays. Online orders from the previous day are packed each morning for pick up that day. (no orders are packed Sunday) We have asparagus today however supplies are limited. We have only about 100 lbs. here at the moment. I expect to cut again either tonight or early in the morning. This warmth and sunshine are soaking into the ground and the asparagus roots are responding. By late in the week we should be cutting several hundred lbs. a day. Daniel
Old99Farm Market: Old99 Farm week of May 8 2022
The list of greens we can offer is growing each week, up to 20 now.
we have available
Arugula, Mizuna, Tatsoi green, Tatsoi purple (Arc-en-Ciel), Mustard Greens (Tokyo Bekana), Red Romaine, (Rouge d’hiver) Green Romaine, Buttercrunch Lettuce, Frilly Lettuce (Kale baby leaf. Kale bunches, Salad mix bags, HealthKick salad mix, Claytonia, Arugula bags, Turnip Greens bunch, Green Chard, Rainbow Chard, Tong Ho (salad green), Bok Choi green, Spinach, Cilantro, and Rhubarb.
Some of these will be new so I’ll explain a bit and give a link for more info.
Let’s start with Tong Ho, a salad green very popular in Asia, tho it’s in the daisy family from the Mediterranean area.
The entire above-ground portion of the plant is edible. In general you’re only likely to encounter the the small, unopened flowers on the younger stalks sold in grocery stores, and these can be cooked right along with everything else.
Can I Eat it Raw? Yes, though this is definitely a less common choice. The flavour is likely to be considered a bit too intense for most raw applications. I put a bit in my custom salad mix along with some other delightful flavours.
Storage: Short Term : Refrigerate (unwashed, 3-7 days in a breathable bag in the crisper)
Long Term: Blanch in boiling water 2 mins, drain and rinse with cold water, then freeze.
More info here or just google it!
More sign ups for the Summer Harvest basket keep coming in. Weekly or bi-weekly, delivery, 2 missed weeks, and other features. See my brochure here
Pick up day for orders is Thurs 4 to 6 or by arrangement. The greens keep well in my cooler for a few days.

Yalaha, FL: Last week before our spring break.
Market Open this week and Next BUT…
Market will be closed the last two weeks of May since I won’t be available to handle orders. But since we probably won’t have much available anyway… Not much point in setting it up for some one else to handle orders. The Very end of May I will re-assess produce availability and decide what I will have listed for the summer. We continue to grow Microgreens year round but most other things don’t like the heat.
Lettuce has already declined this season, I’m going to see if I can get it to make a comeback but we don’t have much at the moment.
I’ve added a new size for the Living Pea and Sunflower shoots. They are growing in the Pint size lids rather than those deep trays of dirt so I can offer them for a little less $. I have some available this week from my first trial grow in those containers. If I don’t get much interest I may not have them available regularly.
If anyone wants Regular Chives, I have those as well as little chive seedlings available. If there is demand I can list them for you. Also available but not listed are Dill seedlings and curly Parsley seedlings.
I’ve adjusted the regular ordering window a little bit to account for when we are packing up the Restaurant orders. So order now through Thursday 8am for Friday-Sunday pickup.
I may still be able to take orders after Thursday Morning but can’t guarantee availability of things as I may have already packed them for the Restaurants.
Ordering window is Monday Afternoon through Thursday Morning and pick up will be Friday-Sunday by appointment until we expand more, Please indicate when you would like to pick up when you place your order.
Remember to tell me when you want to pick up! (and if I don’t reply to confirm within a day, bump my e-mail or text me 407-342-8515. Though I have cleaned up my e-mail so hopefully I won’t Miss Anyone.)
Sign in to order. https://yalaha.locallygrown.net/market
You have to sign in to see the add to cart button. Then set the number and click the add to cart button on the items you want to buy (it is the little picture right next to the quantity box.) Remember you need to check out before your order will be placed.
Remember to let me know when you want to pick up on Sat or maybe even Friday late afternoon or on Sunday. (If I don’t send you an e-mail confirmation of your order and pick up time, please make sure you checked out and completed your order.)
Lathemtown Farm Fresh Market: Market Open
Good morning! We are open for ordering!
I have been working hard to get all the plants from the greenhouse into the ground, all the staking and trellising in place, and the mulch spread to keep back the weeds.
We still have some chicks, if anyone would like them, let me know. I was very excited last week to find the peahen had laid a clutch of eggs!!!! There are 4 of those and 8 duck eggs in the incubator now. Stay tuned for more chick cuteness!
We have just a few of the green leaf lettuce left, but kale is coming in strong now. I moved the broccolini plants that started resprouting so hoping they take off in their new fertile location. It won’t be long now before the squash and cucumbers begin flowering and we have an influx of fresh produce!
Have a great week!

Champaign, OH: Thanks For The Love!
Thank you, so very much, for all of the market orders, support, and love for this little local market!!
This month, May, marks our 11th year anniversary from when the market first went LIVE!! Can you believe it?? I remember the excitement of the unknown, the untested, and the sometimes unwanted online market!
We started with humble beginnings, at the YMCA, and we have continued to pave the way, each and every year.
You, the customers deserve all the love, as well as our hard working vendors!! Some of us have been in the trenches, since the beginning, of this market. Some of us have been in all the markets for going on 14 seasons, like me! Some of us have managed many of your local, seasonal markets, and some of us are coming in new to the game! We boast the best of the best, and we are proud to bring you this love, each and every week!
AND…more LOVE…when the market reopens on Thursday evening, you will see the return of S&S Naturals with her elderberry products!!!! YAY!!!
And, you will see the return of products from both my Cosmic Charlie Bread Adventures AND Hippie and the Farmer!!
I am healing, and I know to protect myself post injury, and I am excited to get back to what I LOVE!!
How’s that for market love?
XOXO,
Cosmic Pam
If you placed an order, for the week, I will see you at Thursday pick up!
