Champaign, OH: Till The Morning Comes...
Till the morning comes
It’ll do you fine
Till the morning comes
Like a highway sign
Showing you the way
Leaving no doubt
Of the way on in or the way back out…
(Till The Morning Comes-Grateful Dead)
So, your market manager is home for the evening, enjoying a glass of cabernet, and listening to the Grateful Dead…because, the hippie in me is just a little bummed out that my beloved Dead-esque music festival, in May, is now cancelled. And, as I get a recharge from the day, this song just seemed to have the perfect lyrics to open with…
Till the morning comes…
I have to tell you…I have nothing but HUGE, HUGE shout outs to customers, vendors, and our team, who made this HUGE market, such a smashing success!!
The winds were strong, the air was brisk, and the lines were constant, but it was such an enjoyable market, such an honor to serve each of you, and such a feeling of awe to have such great vendors with great product!!
We open, again, for ordering, this week!! We bring you all the best of the local scene, we bring it to your car, you are not fighting the big box stores, you do not have to come in contact with the general public, AND…you get great food, grown and produced right here, in our lovely community!!
I love you more than words can say…
And, I just received word of yet another honor, but, I’ll surprise you with that, later…
For now…good night, and keep shining the love…
XOXO,
Cosmic Pam

Fresh Harvest, LLC: Bloomy Rind Cheese for April
We had a lovely response to the first round of Stock Your Cheese Drawer boxes. Thank you for the orders!
We’re adjusting a few things this week as we try to figure out what works best for everyone. We are going to offer a cheese box subscription!
Fear not, fellow commitment-phobes, it’s just for the month of April-ish. You can select a weekly Woodland Wine Merchant pickup (4 total) or you can opt for every other week (2 total). There are three sizes: small, large, or “the works,” which is a mix of several cheeses and at least one accompaniment, like salami, crackers, preserves, olives, etc.
Why a subscription? This will help us be able to plan some cheese orders, thus helping cheesemakers by buying more and making it possible to find some more fun cheese options to include in your boxes. Planning ahead of time means we can be sure to send different cheeses each week, so you can try lots of different varieties. Also, our friends at Woodland Wine Merchant can work up pairing suggestions with a little extra lead time.
Sign up by completing this form:
https://forms.gle/KL6unUa7KQh1Um3k9
Order by Thursday (4/9) at noon.
In case a subscription isn’t the right fit right now, there are more ways to get great cheese:
1) We supply the cheese counter at Porter Road Butcher. Call 615-650-4440. Ask cheesemonger Shira to pick out some cheese for you. Tell her how many cheeses, anything you don’t like, and a budget. She’ll have it ready for curbside pickup. Easy peasy.
2) Our friends at MEEL (localmeel.com) are offering our cheese boxes this week. As long as you order some other goodies from their site with the cheese box, delivery to your home is FREE!
3) We’re also excited to supply Turnip Truck with local Sequatchie Cove cheeses, an awesome sheep cheddar called Somerset, and small batch Il Porcellino salami from Colorado, so grab those goodies while you’re grocery shopping.
If you have questions along the way related to the cheese order, please text/call/email The Bloomy Rind (615-429-9648/[email protected]).
Safety first: The Bloomy Rind is licensed and inspected by the TN Department of Ag. All of our cheese producers are licensed and inspected by their respective state agencies. We are based in Citizen Kitchens, which is not open to the general public. The cheese is only handled by cheesemonger Kathleen with gloved hands on sanitized surfaces that are used only by us. We will package your order in a to go box or bag, so delivery folks are only handling the container, not any of the individual cheeses. Your health and safety is our #1 concern – now and always. Please feel free to reach out with any questions.
Thank you for your support. A cheese box purchase helps not only The Bloomy Rind stay afloat during these challenging times, but also a handling fee goes to our partners. Most of the cheeses we’ll be sending out are from regional and domestic cheesemakers who desperately need to sell product right now, especially the soft cheeses that can’t age out. Many thanks all around!

New DRIVE-THROUGH Procedure
- Please arrive at UNCLE SHUG’S within your designated time slot.
- Drive clockwise around the outermost perimeter, maintaining a tight queue, from the designated entrance to the front of the restaurant. Be polite, be patient, and follow the instructions of police or our market traffic volunteers.
- A staff member will check you in as you come alongside the restaurant; please display the customer name(s) for the order(s) you’re picking up on a windshield placard.
- Your order will be brought out to your vehicle from the main restaurant entrance as you wait in the line of traffic.
- Provide access to your vehicle and to the containers you want loaded (bags, boxes, bins or coolers); e.g., unlock the back door or pop the trunk, with containers inside.
- Wait in your car for the runner to return with your order and load into your containers.
- If you did not prepay on line with a debit or credit card, please make a check for exact amount when your order is delivered. (You may pay cash in exact amount, but any “change” from cash received will be credited to your account.
Remember that this service is new to us – we’re still growing exponentially and redefining our operation every week, including many procedural changes this week. So please be patient and help us to be successful.
Here’s how you can help.:
- Arrive during your selected date and designated time slot.
- Allow plenty of time for your pickup; be patient and be prepared to wait in line.
- Help us maintain social distance and avoid contact with unsanitized items
- Bring containers for your order (bags, boxes, bins) but leave them in your vehicle
- Do NOT offer to return egg cartons, produce containers or other used items
- Recognize that because of exceptional volume, some items may be sold out; your order will be adjusted and you won’t be charged for any items the vendors can’t deliver.
- Pay online with credit or debit card — we’ll help you register your card..
- (Again) Be patient — we’re in this together.
- Let us know if you have ideas to improve our pickup process.
- Tell your neighbors and social media friends about Market2Go drive through.
- Tell the vendors how much you appreciate their making good food available

Foothills Market: Extended Hours for New Addition! Strawberries!
We’ve just added a new grower, Hummingbird Farms, to the Foothills Market, with fresh strawberries!
To give everyone a chance to get berries, we’re going to extend the closing deadline for the market today to be 6:30 p.m.
Although the berries are available by the individual quart, the farmer said he prefers to sell them by the flat (which is equal to 6 quarts). The price per quart is the same, regardless of whether you buy a single quart ($5) or a flat ($30).
Welcome, Hummingbird Farms!
