Thank you for choosing Northeast Georgia Locally Grown as a way to support your local producers. This online farmers market allows you to buy directly from multiple farms committed to chemical-free and local produce all year long! CHEMICAL-FREE means produce and pastures grown without synthetic fertilizers, herbicides, fungicides, or insecticides. LOCAL means within 80 miles from the market pickup locations (usually much much closer). Do you know someone who grows chemical-free food in the area? Get them in touch with us. Know someone who wants fresh food? Spread the word. Put the two together, and that’s growing organically!
PICKUP TIME is Wednesday from 5-6:30 p.m.
If you do not get an email ORDER CONFIRMATION right after you order then your order is NOT complete. Log back in and your order might still be there waiting for you to check out! If you have any trouble or questions at all, we are here to help; simply reply to this email.
COVID19: Thanks for recognizing we can all do our part in operating in the safest way possible. Be on the lookout for the order reminder email with any changes to pickup or ways you can help minimize risk for our volunteers and each other. Thanks for your support!*

It’s time to train the birds to stay around your house during the upcoming winter months. Hang a suet cake basket now and get them in the habit of stopping by your house for all their nutritional needs. You’ll see more of them this winter when it’s cold and possibly snowy. We will have 3 brand new suet cake baskets on the extras table today for only $2. And 20 suet cakes for only $1 each. The baskets prevent tree rats (squirrels) from taking the whole suet cake.
This is a pickup reminder for those of you who ordered this week. Thank you for your order! You can pick up your order from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. today at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church at 925 Mitchell Street in Conway.

Champaign, OH: Turkey Chase
Good morning, lovely customers!
It’s Friday, and I wanted to kick off this ordering week with one of my favorite soundtracks that is always a must around Thanksgiving time, for me.
Well, I have three…One is always, Alice’s Restaurant, and always on Thanksgiving day. The movie, is always viewed during the week, leading up to Thanksgiving.
The second is always…The Last Waltz, The Band. And, that is always listened to, and watched on Thanksgiving eve.
And, then this song, and the soundtrack from Pat Garrett & Billy the Kid with Bob Dylan…
If I haven’t bored you, yet, listen to some of these, as we lead into Thanksgiving.
This week, as I stated will be the last week to order for any holiday needs, as we always close the market for the week of Thanksgiving!
And…I have a few announcements…
The One Eyed Cookie Lab will return to us in, or right after February…they are undergoing a big move, to a new house, but undergoing kitchen renovations to accommodate Jennifer’s baking!
Kingdom Fish is taking a bit of a vacation for a couple of weeks!
Champaign Berry also is off, this week, as Cathy will be away, but if you need their jams, you can stop in the shop, at Oakview Farm Meats, site of the market, and grab some off the shelves.
Ruthie’s Pies has her pies listed, and if you are ordering, for your holiday needs, please let me know, in the comment section, if you would like them at market pick up, OR, if you would like to pick them up on the Wednesday, freshly baked, the day before Thanksgiving. Pick up would be at the shop of Oakview, that Wednesday, 10am-4pm…
Cosmic Charlie is also offering the same choice!! You can let me know, in the comments, if you are going to pick up your Cosmic baked goods, during Thursday’s pick up, for from the shop, on that Wednesday, before Thanksgiving!
AND…After Thanksgiving, I will begin writing about gift ideas for Christmas, vendors who are offering gift ideas, and market gift certificates…all great ideas for this year’s gift giving…
Ok…sorry for the wordiness, this morning…
XOXO,
Cosmic Pam
Champaign, OH: Welcome Back!
Another rainy market pick up is behind us, once again, and we move into a new week of market ordering!
Don’t forget…next week will be the last week before we take Thanksgiving week off!!
Get your lists ready!!
XOXO,
Cosmic Pam
Champaign, OH: Thursday Note!
Good morning, lovely customers, on this very lovely Veteran’s Day of remembrance…
Just your Thursday reminder that tonight is your market pick up, if you placed an order, this week!
If you need a Friday pick up, between 10am-12pm, please let me know, and I will take you out of today’s rotation. If you need a Saturday pick up, 10am-4pm, also let me know!
If you are a new customer, you have three options for payment…you can bring cash, in a ziplock bag or envelope, with your name on it. You can bring a check, made out to Oakview Farm Meats, or you can call me, with a card number, to keep on file, for me to run the weekly market payments, making it easy not to have to worry about bringing cash or check. But…it’s all up to you, and all good!
If it is raining at market pick up, please also put your checks in a ziplock bag, as sometimes, on my trek to and from the greenhouse, with your orders, the checks can get a bit wet.
Once, again, thank you for always making our market weeks great!!
XOXO,
Cosmic Pam

Locally Grown STT: New benefit for Market Members only starting this Thursday at pick up!
Hi Market Members,
We are pleased to announce a new benefit for farmers market members only. Initiated by 2 of the growers on the market Paradise Farms (who sells the awesome eggplants and sorrel)/and Greenridge Guavaberry Farms (with the delicious Bok Choy) in partnership with STT Environmental Group and The Market STT (previously called Plaza Extra), our Frenchtown pick up location on Thursdays is now a drop off location for you for plastics and aluminum to be sent off island for recycling. When you come to pick up your order or don’t have an order but am a member of the market, you can now begin recycling at your home.
This is great timing as this is the week of the annual United Nations Climate Change Conference is Glasgow (COP26) where countries around the world work on a global approach to the climate crisis. And one area being talked about is how island nations are on the frontlines of the effects. Something we all have in common is we love our ocean. And now we have a way to counter act all the plastic bottles going in to it. We hope you are as excited as we are to finally have a way to recycle!
So if interested in using this new feature, read below for important instructions.
Yours Truly,
Your Market Coordinators
SO HOW DOES IT WORK?
This is for:
Recycling Plastic Water, Juice and Soda Beverage Containers ( and Aluminum cans)
…For the sake of efficiency and the safety of our farmers market volunteers, we have streamlined our process of collection. Therefore we will ONLY be accepting clean and empty plastic one gallon water jugs, plastic water bottles, beverage soda/juice bottles only (PET #1 and #2).
????No caps are allowed on the containers or any item that is colored black, regardless of the category of plastic. This is especially important because the crusher will not be able to work properly before it is crushed, and bailed.
????Please do your part before dropping off items. Volunteers will not be sorting or handling items at the drop off. Please don’t use a black trash bag. Volunteers visibly need to know what you are dropping off before accepting your bags, use only a clear or white colored bag to hold your plastic one-gallon jugs, plastic water bottles, beverage soda/juice bottles. We will refuse to accept bags that are not placed into a clear or white colored bag. As supplies last, we will be providing one large clear bag per family for use on their next visit but encourage you to find alternatives to single use plastics.
???? Don’t forget, we are accepting aluminum cans for recycling on Saturdays but they must be empty with no liquids or trash inside. We will NOT accept steel containers look for the ridges on the sides to identify them from aluminum cans. Another way to tell is if a magnet sticks to the containers it is not aluminum.
Email if you have any questions.
Thank you!
