Hello all!

The Online Market is OPEN for pickup Wednesday, August 3rd at the Grayson Landcare/IFM Office (104 Courthouse st.) between 4-6 pm.

I also wanted to take a minute to introduce myself as your new Online Market Manager! My name is Christian Cooke and I am so excited to get to know everyone in our fantastic Market community here in Grayson County. A little about myself and then I’ll let you shop—I am a recent transplant to the area from Pennsylvania and a first generation homesteader with my husband and son at our tiny second year farm in Whitetop. We fell in love with the rugged beauty of the area and ended up following our dream to leave the city and pursue a more self-sufficient lifestyle. We are loving every second of it and hope to get more involved in the Farmer’s Market as growers.

It is officially Tomato season! Don’t forget the Tomato Festival is Friday, August 5th. We’ll have a tomato tasting and the People’s choice salsa contest returns after a 2 year break. Bring a quart of salsa to the Market by 9:30. You can also enter the Monster tomato contest. It doesn’t have to be pretty or ripe, just big. Bring it to the Market by 11. Weigh-in at noon.

If you’d like to schedule a curbside pickup to conveniently have your box awaiting upon your arrival, please feel free to schedule a time using the Calendly link below. Otherwise, You can drop by and pick up your order inside the office any time on Wednesdays between 4-6 pm.

We’ve had a limited amount of purple hull peas added to Foothills Market this morning. If you’re a fan of this Southern staple, be sure to add some to your cart before 5:00 p.m. today when the market closes.

This is a pickup reminder for those of you who ordered this week. Even if you didn’t make an order, you can come by to shop on the EXTRAS table :)

You can pick up your order starting at 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church at 925 Mitchell Street in Conway.

Please remember that although the doors are open before 3pm, we are still getting everything ready for the market. If you arrive before 3pm, you are welcome to come in and sit while you wait. In order to avoid mistakes, we will not check anyone out before 3pm. Thank you for understanding.

If something comes up that you cannot personally pick up your order today, please contact someone to pick it up for you.

Don’t forget to bring back your milk jars, those of you who bought fresh milk!

Remember to bring your reusable market bags. Reduce, reuse, recycle! See you this afternoon!
