Some Growers News:
Bean Man:
We are back at the market this week and greatly appreciate your patience.
So all are aware, we are beginning to run out of our Fresh Dry Beans (this happens every year). We are out of Red Beans but have our other Beans and Mixes available and will keep you up to date. Not to worry, our new crop is in the field and we expect to have it available in mid to late September. We also harvested our last round of oats and they are currently in processing to become Scottish Oatmeal, Oat Flour as well as part of our Cinnamon/Oat Flour Pancake Mix and Vegan Pizza Crust Mix.
In addition to our Fresh Ready to Mix Products, we’ve added our Spice Seasoning and Thickener to the market in a Regular and Spicier offering so you have options depending on your preference. Each contains our twice-milled flour along with fresh spices – we learned about using bean flour from Indians who are primarily vegetarian and use it regularly to add body to their dishes without using wheat flour or starches found in many of the spices available in the store.. We also use cinnamon as the flavor enhancer instead of sugar. Look for both of them in the Seasonings and Spices section of the market.
Quarter Spring Farm:
WE hope your summer is going great so far. We have our usual selection of goat’s milk soaps, shampoos, and lotions available. All of them are all natural, hand made, and great for your skin. We also have a full selection of our pastured chicken cuts on the market. Pasture raised chicken is better for you, better for the planet, and, most importantly, tastier than conventionally raised poultry. Try some for yourself to taste the difference*
Singing Bee Honey Farm:
The wait is over! The 2022 honey harvest is bottled and ready for you! The pure, raw, unfiltered honey is foraged and harvested right here in Cannon Co, TN. This year’s harvest is a lovely amber color with a rich, yet smooth, flavor that is perfect for enjoying straight from a spoon, but can also be added to recipes and teas. Several sizes are available to meet your needs.
Also this week, the garlic bulbs have been harvested and cured, and are ready for your kitchen. This garlic enhances recipes without being overpowering. They store really well in a cool, so are ready for you when your recipe calls for fresh garlic.
Sow’s Ear Piggery:
we are back on the market this week with ‘NEW’ Non-GMO pork products, including pork tenderloin, cutlets, and chops, as well as roasts, ground pork, and mild pork sausage (no MSG).
Valentine Farm:
This season we are offering more of the same delicious vinegar brine pickles and some new products as well. This season we are adding spicy pickled sausages, pickled fresh green peas, spicy giardiniera, Thai pickled eggs and garlic herb eggs. We also are trying out a new product, Botanical Simple Syrups (bee balm, lemon and anise hyssop) and locally harvested Sumac Salts are back on the menu. Thank you so much for your constant support over the years. We appreciate you, our customers. Daphne
Sweet Girl Honey Farm:
We are a family farm in Woodbury, TN using regenerative agricultural practices to produce raw-unfiltered honey, infused honey, honey sweetened jams/jellies, herbal teas/spice blends and natural beeswax/tallow skin care and soap. We also provide fresh eggs (chicken, quail), meat rabbits (availible in August) and seasonal fresh produce (vegetables, herbs, fruit, live plants).*
Linwood Lamb:
Chorizo Lamb Brats and Fetta Cheese and Spinach Lamb Sliders. We have restocked all cuts including the popular Thick Cut Lamb Chops and the Big Juicy Lamb Leg Steaks. If you are grilling this summer, make sure Linwood Lamb is on the menu!
Flying S Farms:
This week we have our Fresh Farm Chicken Eggs, Several different Melons this week: Honeydew, Watermelon and Cantaloupes, Zucchini, also have large Zucchini that is great for baking or making Zucchini Pancakes! also Yellow Straight Neck Squash, Scallop Squash, Cucumbers, delicious cut in flat half direction and put on the grill, Onions and Potatoes, Bi-color Corn Peaches and Cream, Tomatos, Baked goods have returned, Sweet Breads, Bars, Sour Dough Breads, Biscuits…on and on!

Lathemtown Farm Fresh Market: This Week at the Market
This week we’re getting some more planted for fall crops. We like to keep a steady flow to eat from the garden! I got a welcome surprise yesterday – FIGS! I wasn’t expecting them to ripen yet, but here they are! I won’t get more than a pound or two daily for another week when they are in high gear, but will put out what I have in the stand. I do have a signup for anyone to reserve ahead of time here:
