Hey everyone,

A few announcements this week.

First of all, please remember to bring back your wax boxes when you pick up your order. Better yet, just bring your own grocery bag and leave the box at your pick up location. The boxes are designed to be reusable and are expensive.

Second of all, we wanted to remind everyone that as the days are getting shorter, the produce season is winding down. Our CSA box program has just 3 weeks left. Over the next month you can expect to see exciting stuff like fresh roots, greens, broccoli and cauliflower. By mid-November availability will start to drop off, and by December there will only be a few products. Please keep this in mind when you manage your remaining account balances.

The market is now open! Please place your orders before Sunday at noon.

Happy Friday! It’s time to order for this week’s market! Order before 6pm on Sunday.

ORDER CONFIRMATION:
If you don’t get an email right after you order then your order is NOT complete. Log back in and your order will still be there waiting for you to check out.

PICK UP:
Pick up is on ***WEDNESDAY*** at 1300 Peachtree Industrial Blvd. Suite 1104, Suwanee at Cultured Traditions from 1 pm to 6:30 pm.

PAYMENT:
We take checks, cash, DWOLLA, PayPal, and credit cards online. Credit cards can not be swiped at pick up location b/c there is no Wi-Fi.

To pay by credit card on file click “Pay Now” button at the bottom of the check out page. I don’t run credit cards until after pick up on Wednesdays.

If paying by DWOLLA or PayPal, please pay by Wednesday! I pay our vendors on your behalf before you pick up so I need all payments initiated by Wednesdays.

But, seriously…this market? Yeah, it’s got me totally howlin’! Baby, I’m howlin’ for you! First…the beat of this market has turned up to crazy levels. The excitement is back. The customers were groovin’ and swingin’ and happy as a piece of Halloween candy, tonight!

We are back, we are totally taking this market back to it’s crazy levels, and I invite all of you to join in the howlin’ good time. The howlin’ fun.

We had the debut of Old Souls Farm lettuces…and, baby, let me tell you…a howlin’ treat. A feast for the eyes.

All of your favorite vendors had their products, in your baskets, and ready to rock and roll.

And only for a short time, Rachel Lusk has brought back both her savory Tomato Basil Garlic Bagels and sweet Apple Streusel jumbo Muffins!!

Also, Michael’s Pastured Poultry just added two new Certified Organic listings… for Chicken Backs and Chicken Feet! Perfect for Asian dishes or making bone broth – who won’t be glad for some chicken stock when the cool weather hits for real?!

Cooking Day with Chef Jen is this Friday, October 5th. Join us in Town Park for some tasty free samples as well as a free winter squash tasting!

The Apple Festival is coming up on October 12th. There will be a free community cider pressing. Apple cider will also be available to purchase, all proceeds go to the Independence Farmers Market. We’ll also have an apple dessert contest. 1st place prize, $100, second place, $30, and third place, $20! Be sure to have your dessert at the Market no later than 10:15 am on the day of.

Suwanee Whole Life Co-op:  Need your help! Volunteer needed at 4pm today!

Hi Everyone, I don’t usually send these requests to the entire co-op but I’m starting to panic because we still don’t have anyone signed up to volunteer at 4-5pm today. I can’t cover this shift because my son has a dentist appointment at 4. I’ll even take two 30 minute volunteers. I just need to make sure the pick up location is attended and we have 5 new members that need to be greeted and shown the pick up process.
