Siloam Springs, AR: REstock Wednesday!
Siloamsprings.locallygrown.net
Restock Wednesday! Be sure to check and see if your favorite items have been restocked!
Our farmers work hard growing produce for our community. It is always their desire to sell the best quality. If you ever have a problem or concern with the quality of your food items, please reach out to us at [email protected].
Once the market closes on Saturday at 11 a.m. we are typically there for 15 minutes or so putting things away so if you are a few minutes late you should still be able to pick up your order. If you are ever unable to make the pick up time please know that your order will be kept inside our office and stored appropriately. All you have to do is email [email protected] to make arrangements to pick up your order. Someone is available Monday thru Friday. If you have selected to pay by credit card, our card will be charged on Saturday after market closes when we process all the orders. If you’re paying cash, check, SNAP, or Senior Coupons we will collect that when you pick up.
We appreciate everyone’s continued support as we all work through these difficult times. Our desire is to provide a quality product and quality service.
Champaign, OH: Happy
I need a love to keep me happy…
(The Rolling Stones)
This market, the customers, and the vendors are that love that keeps me happy!!
I’ve been on a heavy Stones replay, this week, revisiting all of my albums, and when I saw the market numbers, last night, at closing, this song happened to be spinning, and well, what better way to say…Happy?!
Thank you, kindly, for the love this week!! The market, once again, just blew me away!!
As I mentioned, we will be one man down, tomorrow, as my father will be elsewhere! So, we are breaking the market into two time slots!
A-H…4-5:00pm
J-Z…5-6:00pm
If you requested a Friday, pick up, I have noted it.
If you need to check your cards for possible expiration dates, you can phone me today, and tomorrow, with any updated info.
If you are paying by check…make it out to Oakview Farm Meats.
Cash? Ziplock bag with your name!
If you have ordered from a previous week, and have not paid, or picked up…that kind of housekeeping needs to be taken care of! When you order from the market, and the vendors are paid for the products that you ordered, and then you do not pick up or pay…what happens? The market is without your payment, and down for the sales that are are not paid for. SO…moving forward…if this continues, we will probably need a credit/debit card from all new customers who are not yet established with the market.
Thank you for understanding…
So, again…you all make so happy!!
And…throw me your songs, tomorrow, at pick up! I love knowing your musical insights!
XOXO,
Cosmic Pam
The Cumming Harvest - Closed: Weblog Entry
Good morning everyone, Here are the announcements for this week: We have had too many people leave their products every week, so we will be charging the five dollar holding fee. This fee will be charged if you place an order, and do not cancel before Thursday at 8 PM. We cannot continue to hold orders, every single week for clients. We would love to be able to, however we simply just do not have the space. Also, please remember that the market closes at 12 noon sharp on Saturday. We have had a lot of clients trying to show up after 12, and we need to be respectful of the volunteers time. Starting this week if you pick up after 12, and have not communicated to the market manager that you are running late, we will be charging a five dollar service fee. We understand things happen, so if something pops up please alert the market manager as soon as possible. As always if there are any questions or concerns please feel free to reach out.

Market News
We made gazpacho for the first time this week, ate the whole giant bowl, and immediately made another batch the next day. Summer vegetables are what make farming worth it, and our local products are as fresh as they come. Our farmers harvest for you on Friday and Saturday morning, so when you get your order, know that it came out of the ground 48 hours ago, AT MOST! Fresh, local, delicious – can’t beat that!
Please remember as you order that per the POA’s instructions, we cannot leave your food unattended. If you need us to deliver to your neighbor or slip your order inside your house, please be sure to tell us in the comments so we can make sure your order gets to you safely!
If you have other suggestion about how we can continue to make deliveries without being able to leave products unattended, we’d love to hear them. We’re still developing the best ways to get your orders to you, and we welcome any of your ideas.
As always, if you enjoy being a member of Big Canoe Harvest, tell your friends! The more the market grows, the more additional vendors and products we’ll be able to include. As always, your feedback help shapes the market. Let us know what you think about the Big Canoe Harvest products.
Have a wonderful week, and we’ll see you Saturday!

Locally Grown Market CCF: Blueberry abundance about over
The blueberry bushes have outdone themselves this year with an abundance of berries. We have a good supply this week, but will probably have only a few pints next week. Remember the health benefits of blueberries and how easy it is to freeze them for later and stock up. to freeze, pick over them for stray leaves or sticks then lay in one layer on a cookie sheet and place in the freezer. When they are frozen, put in freezer bags.
Tomatoes are increasing in abundance this week, and we have a good supply of both the red slicers for sandwiches and many other things and the special Carbon for gourmet eating. Of course, there are also the cherry tomatoes for great snacking.
Notice that there are 3 farms offering products on this on line market. Cane Creek Farm is where you pick up and has many products listed, including vegetables, fruit, herbs and flowers. Reggie has worked with me for a good many years, and he is listing some of his produce from his two farms.
