Champaign, OH: Our House
I’ll light the fire
You put the flowers in the vase that you bought today
Staring at the fire for hours and hours while I listen to you
Play your love songs all night long for me, only for me
Come to me now and rest your head for just five minutes, everything is good
Such a cozy room, the windows are illuminated by the
Sunshine through them, fiery gems for you, only for you
Our house is a very, very, very fine house with two cats in the yard
Life used to be so hard
Now everything is easy ’cause of you
And our la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la
Our house is a very, very, very fine house with two cats in the yard
Life used to be so hard
Now everything is easy ’cause of you
And our
I’ll light the fire while you place the flowers in the vase that you bought today…

This song comes to us from long time customer Laura Zureich, as it was raining and chilly, yesterday, and I was loading her car up with all of her market purchases. She had no idea how much I love this song, how it always marks the late fall season, for me, and how the album, Deja Vu, is one of my most loved, worn, and treasured albums in my collection.
Also, the love and peace that this song invokes reminds me of all the loveliness that I feel our market embodies. I’m hoping you always drive off feeling the same vibe.
It also reminds me of a summer house that a bunch of friends rented, one summer, when I was in college. I was working two jobs, that summer…one, as a retail girl at Casual Corner, and one as an advertising intern at a local newspaper. The days were long, and busy, and full of learning, but it was always so comforting to know that at the end of the day, that house would be full of friends, food, wine, music, and always new faces drifting in and out, becoming our little summer family of mismatched friends. Simple times, with simple ways, but the communal feeling of that summer never leaves me. This album was thrown on the stereo, almost daily.
Anyway…all of this to say that the feelings it brings me, are also the feelings that the communal spirit of our market brings me…
It’s Friday, and the market awaits you…I will be taking the next two days off as it’s wedding dress shopping for my daughter who is flying in this evening from Florida! The adventure begins…and, as she and her groom to be are almost complete with the building of their own first home, my plan is to give them so many iconic old albums for their turntable that I gave them, last Christmas, so that their house will also always be filled with music…
Have a lovely weekend, and get your orders in…
XOXO,
Cosmic Pam
Miami County Locally Grown: Market Pickup POSTPONED
The First United Methodist Church of Troy has closed today for two weeks – this unfortunately includes their First Place Christian Center building where we hold our Virtual Market pick-ups on Tuesdays!
Our weekly Tuesday Market pick-up must be postponed until Tuesday November 3rd.
So many of you have already placed an order for this current week, and expected to pick up your order this upcoming Tuesday Oct 21st – we’ll keep those orders open and active for pick-up on Tuesday Nov 3rd instead!
If you cannot pick-up your order on Tuesday November 3rd and need to cancel or change it, please just email me at [email protected] and I’ll be happy to take care of everything!
Moving to a different temporary location is regretfully not an option, as our food license is restricted to First Place. And since this is fall in Ohio, we don’t believe the feasibility of an outdoor pickup would be wise :-)
We will, however, continue to take orders for two items only:
The Holiday Wreath-Making Class on Saturday October 24th, 5-7pm at Honey Creek Farm – limited space available! Payment will be taken when you come to the class!
Pre-orders for Fresh, Non-GMO Thanksgiving Turkeys from King’s Poultry Farm (this is a pick-up we can guarantee even if the building is closed!)
I will update you as soon as I have more information, and apologize for the inconvenience and abruptness, although I think we have all had to, like it or not, accept a new fluidity with regular, sudden changes and adjustments in so many aspects of life.
Wishing you all a warm and restive weekend!

THE DRIVE-THROUGH PROCEDURE in Statesboro.
- Drive to the right (counter clockwise) all the way around the SCVB, keeping to the outer perimeter and maintaining a tight queue. A volunteer will check you in as you come around the far side of the building.
- Please display the name(s) for your order(s) on a windshield placard to assist in quick and safe check-in.
- Please wear a mask while communicating with market staff.
- Provide access to your vehicle and to the containers you want loaded (bags, boxes, bins or coolers); unlock the back door or the trunk, with containers inside.
- We recommend that you bring a cooler for transporting meat, dairy and perishable items. Ice cream melts, even in a short car trip, and our fresh non-homogenized milk is temperature sensitive.
- Wait in your car for the runner to come out with your order and load into your containers. Make sure your name placard is visible.
- If you did not prepay on line with a debit or credit card, please make a check for exact amount when your order is delivered. (You may pay cash in exact amount, but any “change” from cash received will be credited to your account. Use an envelope to label the cash payment with your order name.)

HOME DELIVERY CUSTOMERS.
Orders will be delivered between 2:00 and 5:00 by Boro Takeout. You will receive a notice when your driver is on the way. We recommend you leave a cooler at the front door (or your designated delivery location) to facilitate no-contact delivery and to keep perishable food safe.
EBT CUSTOMERS.
Right now we can scan EBT/SNAP cards only at the Statesboro pickup location. So, if you have ordered online with the intent to pay with your EBT card, you’ll need to come to the Statesboro Drive Through at the Convention and Visitors Bureau between 3:30 and 6:30. Email or text us in advance so we can calculate your bonus dollars and the amount to be charged to your card.
Heritage Farm : Our Position........
A lot of you have asked how we could support this effort to question the integrity of the election and this is what we offer:
Our reasons are simple. We see clear and compelling circumstances that make us doubt that this 2020 election was carried out in a fair and honest accounting of all the votes. At the end of the day, no matter who wins, we will support the office of the president but for us this goes way beyond this 2020 election. This is about the very freedoms we hold as a nation. If proved true this manipulation of the constitutional election process would undermine our nation for generations to come. It smells bad. There are two many circumstances that don’t add up and if we do not stand up and demand transparency it could be lost forever.
We are parents, spouses, business people, citizens and patriots. We feel we owe it to our children and future generations to take a stand for fairness and transparency. No matter what the cost. If that offends you then you’ll just have to be offended. Every American should care about the honesty and transparency of this process.
Thanks!!!

Champaign, OH: I Am Woman
You can bend but never break me
‘Cause it only serves to make me
More determined to achieve my final goal
And I come back even stronger
Not a novice any longer
’Cause you’ve deepened the conviction in my soul…
(Helen Reddy)
This song implant comes from weekly customer, Jo Marenberg, and I am so glad that she tossed me this.
When Helen Reddy passed away, I was dealing with all things my cat, and this sadness of losing Helen did not get my proper attention.
Jo sent this at the perfect time. For one, I had just had a conversation with the loveliest of young women, last night, but she was not feeling lovely, she was not feeling strong, she was just having an all out self reflection issue. But, haven’t we all been there? I love the people who paint out their flaws, and seek strength when needed. This song alone, can pick you up when you need to be picked up.
Also, as a child, I used to stand on my make shift stage, in my very 1970s bedroom, with my hairbrush microphone, and this album spinning on my little stereo, belting out this anthem. Girls back then learned a lot about life, through these strong women paving our way…I like to think that I somehow do the same for friends, family, strangers, and all of you, here at our little local market…
So, with that dose of a song implant, I want to thank all of you who ordered from this lovely market for the week!!
We will see you all, tomorrow, between 4pm-6pm!!
We are strong, we are invincible…
XOXO,
Cosmic Pam
Grumpy Goat: Fall hours are here
First off, thank you for your patience with our poor communication this year. It is something we will be trying to improve upon in the future.
Due to the end of our Saturday Farmers Market we will be changing our farm pick up day to Tuesday afternoon. If Tuesdays don’t work for you feel free to email or call us and we will do our best to accommodate other pick up days/ times.
We will have some radishes available this week – a mix of green meat, watermelon, and Japanese minowase. The eggplants are still looking amazing and peppers and tomatoes are still producing , albeit a bit more slowly. And there are just a handful of butternut squashes remaining (comment if you want large or small when ordering as they vary greatly).
And soon we will have our homegrown popcorn!!!
Thanks again for your patience and hope to see you all soon!
