Yalaha, FL:  Last Market Window till sometime in summer.

I have a few things but we are really in the down time now.
Starting to do clean up/maintenance. If you contact me wanting microgreens or summer herbs I may be able to help but I might get lax about opening the market here for a while in June/July.

I expect I will be leaving the Market Closed from June 6 through June 26. Some one is always here at the Farm but we don’t have much available anyway so I figure it is the best time to almost shut down for a little while.

Standard Ordering window below.
Order now through 7 am Friday June 4th for Friday or Sat Pickup, tell me when you want to pick up, we have flexibility, I just prefer to harvest early in the day so things are fresh and not all wilted so it is best to get your order in the day before you want to pick up.

We Are Flexible, TELL ME if you want to make special arrangements for produce, I am open and willing especially now. I just need to know the day before so I can harvest anything that needs early morning handling and I like to know when to expect people to show up.

Remember to tell me when you want to pick up! (and if I don’t reply to confirm within a day, bump my e-mail or text me 407-342-8515. Though I have cleaned up my e-mail so hopefully I won’t Miss Anyone.)

Sign in to order. https://yalaha.locallygrown.net/market

You have to sign in to see the add to cart button. Then set the number and click the add to cart button on the items you want to buy (it is the little picture right next to the quantity box.) Remember you need to check out before your order will be placed.
Remember to let me know when you want to pick up on Sat or maybe even Friday late afternoon or on Sunday. (If I don’t send you an e-mail confirmation of your order and pick up time, please make sure you checked out and completed your order.)

GFM :  Happy June!

Welcome to June where the days are longer and hotter!

We have some exciting things going on this month.

TRACES Foster Care serves children and teens up to age 18 years old that are in state’s custody due to abuse or neglect and those who have behavioral or emotional problems. Becoming a foster parent means making a commitment to a child that you will be there for them until they are able to return to a parent, a relative, become independent or be adopted. Though the process may not always be easy, making the difference in the life of a child can be one of life’s most rewarding gifts. Foster parents can teach a child to learn to trust and hope again through building meaningful relationships with caring adults. TRACES is looking for special families who are willing and open to sharing their homes and hearts with a child who is in need of help. At TRACES, our foster parents help children grow. To celebrate this, we will be allowing children and youth the opportunity to plant their own sunflowers to take home. Join TRACES Saturday 6/5/2021 at the Greeneville Farmers Market to learn more about how you can make a difference in the life of a child.

A new grass fed beef vendor- Woolsey Overlook Farm, is planning on being there June 12th.

We have our annual Father’s Day event on June 19th from 9-2. We have space for more vendors. www.greenevillefarmersmarket.com/fathers-day-registration.html.

We continue to take EBT/SNAP and participate in the DoubleUp Food Bucks program. Which allows an EBT/SNAP user to get additional tokens for herbs and vegetables up to $20.
“This project is funded under a grant contract with the State of Tennessee.”
More to come!

Lathemtown Farm Fresh Market:  Closed this week for preorders - stand open

We will be closed for preorders this week as my daughter’s graduation party is this weekend and I have family coming in to town.
I WILL have the stand stocked this week and weekend! there are plenty of eggs – now only $3 per dozen until they slow down laying. The squash have started coming in – there will be zucchini, yellow squash, and patty pan. The bush beans are now starting so there will be small quantities of those as well.
I should have some plums left and plum jam. I did some sweet tart green jam and sweet ripe plum jam. YUM!
Carrots will be pre-order the following week. Onions are almost ready and will go in the barn to cure. I’ll have a few with greens attached for purchase in the stand next week as well.
Enjoy this cool weather before the heat returns!

Thanks for supporting our farm!
