Champaign, OH:  Both Sides Now

Rows and floes of angel hair
And ice cream castles in the air
And feather canyons everywhere
I’ve looked at clouds that way…
(Judy Collins/Joni Mitchell)

Welcome back to another market week! We are back for another week, but then we will be taking the following week off for a market vacation!

The vendors work so very hard, and it’s time for a week of rest! And, while we are on break, go out to support another local tradition at The Champaign County Fair!

You may also notice that I am still on break! After catering, this weekend, for a wedding, I then get ready to host and cater my own daughter’s bridal brunch.

After always making weddings a culinary dream, it’s my turn to be on the mom side of things…

Both sides now…

XOXO,
Cosmic Pam

The Cumming Harvest - Closed:  NEW CUSTOMER INFO

Here are some helpful tips for our newest customers:

• Order early (market opens at 8am Wednesdays)
• It’s okay to make multiple orders – we will group them together for pickup
• Bring tote bags or crates to transport your items to your car
• Prepay for your order on a credit card for quicker turnaround time at pickup – you can also add “extra” items at that time and they can be billed to your card on file

The new address is: 3540 Keith Bridge Road, Cumming 30041
Please be sure to come to the new address this weekend. We are no longer at the location of Pilgrim Mill. If there any questions please feel free to reach out to the market manager.

As a reminder the market is open from Wednesday morning through Thursday at 8pm for orders. All orders must be picked up on Saturday from 10am until 12pm noon. Please be respectful of our volunteers’ time and plan to pick up early and not right before noon.

As always, please feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns.

Thanks,

Did you miss WilMor Farm at the market last Saturday? They’ve got summer bouquets online.

UPCOMING INTERMISSION ANNOUNCEMENT

Rather than wait till Saturday’s regularly scheduled newsletter we decided to let you know early that after pickup for this week’s orders on Friday we will be closed till Saturday, September 4 when our next newsletter goes out and orders resume.

This summer has been hard on our farmers. It almost seems they’re having to unlist and delete more than they deliver because of ongoing damage from weather and problems (like mildew and bugs) brought on by the weather. Nobody fools mother nature, but we can’t fight it either. The plan is to give the growers a much needed break and hopefully start strong in September. We realize that schedule don’t allow for many fall crops to be ready for harvest, but hopefully what is available won’t be ruining daily in the fields by then. Falling prey to local weather conditions is one of the downsides of local sustainable agriculture.

Thank you for your kind understanding and being a part of our Market family! Please do not hesitate to contact us ([email protected]) if you need anything during this break. We love our customers, we love serving you and want to be here for you.
