Foothills Market:  The Market is Open!

Summer’s been hanging on tight the last few days, but the meteorologists are promising this week will finally bring in some fall temperatures. Whether you are a fan of summer or longing for fall, Foothills Market has you covered.

Browse the market for summer favorites like yellow squash, okra, cherry tomatoes, and peppers (bell or hot). If you’re looking for a taste of fall, we have butternut squash, sweet potatoes, and fall greens such as mustard greens and pac choi. Happy Horseshoe Farm has also added fresh apple butter.

Shop between now and Wednesday at 5:00 p.m. Be sure to click the “Place your order” button and then we’ll have your items ready for pick-up Thursday from 4:30-5:30 p.m.

Eat something fresh this week!

CLG:  Opening Bell: Coffee, Black Walnuts, Mushrooms, Honey!

Hello friends!
Please wear a mask when you pick up your ordered items. Thank you. We will also continue contactless delivery to your vehicle on Fridays for those interested, just call or text 501-339-1039.

Lots of wonderful apples are being harvested for us now. Get some and make an apple tart, applesauce, or just for eating fresh with peanut butter or cheese. And for all of your holiday baking needs, we have a few pounds of delicious picked out black walnuts. Black walnuts have a stronger taste than English walnuts and anyone who grew up with chocolate chip cookies with walnuts will tell you how awesome they are.

Other farmers markets in Conway are closed now until April, but we continue to provide nutritious local food all year long. Invite your friends and co-workers to shop at CLG where over 400 items are available each week.

Most items are listed by 6pm Sunday, but check back again before the market closes Tuesday night to see if any other items are ready to be harvested for you! Eat fresh! Eat local! Eat for better health!

And save your eggshells throughout the week for the laying hens! :-)

The market is now OPEN for orders. Click here to start shopping: *https://conway.locallygrown.net/market

Stones River Market:  Market is OPEN -- See you Wednesday!

Welcome to the October 10-11 Stones River Locally Grown Online Farmers Market!

New Fall and Winter Hours:
As the days get shorter we are adjusting our pickup times on the porch to 5-6:15. Please adjust your schedules accordingly!

Please share our market web address with your health-conscious friends, via text, email, or social media (and/or forward this message). https://stonesriver.locallygrown.net The more healthy members we have, the more variety of produce and product we can provide!

The Market opens at 8:00 am on Sunday morning and closes at 10:00 pm Monday evening. Order early before we run out of that one item you “must have!” You can always come back to order more (and some growers may identify added produce while the market is open).

We look forward to seeing you on the Porch this Wednesday from 5-6:15, with deliveries following. Know that our growers have the hour prior to get their products organized so things might be a bit hectic (and crowded) if you come early.

Please comment to the Manager when you checkout if you require curb service, and include your anticipated time of arrival so we can have your order ready and watch for your arrival.

Delivery Service is available for $10 within a 10 mile radius of Murfreesboro, outside areas additional $1.00 per mile is added. Delivery is also available to Woodbury at a host location. If this is the first time you’ve requested delivery please put your address in the comments before you check out. Methods of Payment are Cash, Checks or Credit/Debit Cards or we can email an Invoice including a $1.00 Invoice fee. We have a Venmo account. Let us know if that would be something you would use. For Delivering Invoicing please make sure your account information is current.

FROM THE MARKET….Calling ALL CRAFTERS: The Market is looking for Crafters that would be interesting in selling items through the upcoming Holiday Season on the Market.  These items would be made by you – no resellers. This is a great opportunity to showcase items that you make or build. Example: Jewelry – necklaces, bracelets, earrings or Pottery or Rugs or Scarves or Woodwork or Metal Work etc.  Please contact us through the market email – or leave a voice message for the Manager and we will get back in contact with you.

Flying S Farms:  Our produce this week includes: Bok Choy and Napa Cabbage, Acorn Squash, Butternut Squash, Carnival, Delicata, Spaghetti and Long Island Cheese Pumpkin (delicious), Clemson Okra, Green Sweet Peppers and Mountain Fresh Tomatoes.
Thank you everyone for your assistances helping with the market,  prayers, best wishes, cards, delicious meals during my absence. I believe the worst is over, still few more things that need to be done.

Dogwood Valley Greenhouse: We still have lots of green and growing things! Trouble is, not too many of them are in bloom this time of year, and I feel rather badly about the lack of color. However, with the cooler fall-ish weather (which hopefully may stay around), it is a really good time to plant perennials. September planting gives perennials and shrubs an opportunity to establish a good strong route system before the ground takes on a winter chill. This in turn will allow them to initiate healthy top growth in early spring, followed by plentiful blooms. This week I’ve added several spring bloomers to the market (astilbes and columbines for shade, coreopsis and creeping phlox for sun), joining a few late bloomers with flowers now (begonias, gauras, sedum, rudbeckia, turtlehead). Don’t forget our fresh-cut herbs, or if you prefer to grow your own, our herb plants. Some of the latter are a bit overgrown, but that just gives you more fresh herbs to preserve for winter use.

Middle Tennessee Locally Grown:  Help Wanted!

Middle Tennessee Locally Grown market

will be open for your orders till Tuesday evening at 10 pm.

All the traditional booth markets, markets that set up in a specific location for a few hours each week, will be ending their season shortly. But not our market! Most of our farmers have products available year round – from meats to dairy to vegetables to hand-made items. You will be able to purchase fresh local foods and decorations for all the upcoming holidays – right here! And more than likely you know someone who would also appreciate this bounty – but doesn’t as yet know about our market! Please share with your friends about this great local resource. It’s proven that word of mouth, recommendations from friends, is the most effective way to encourage people to try a new business or a different product. Our goal is ten new consistent customers by the end of the year. Please help us reach our goal! Postcards will be available at pickup for you to hand out. Just ask!
