Oakview Farm:
We are gearing up for Spring with lots of greens!! We have radishes, spinach, salad mix (with kale, lettuce and young mustard greens), and spring onions. Since it’s been so cold, we have also been baking and will have fresh sourdough focaccia bread with garlic, rosemary and olive oil drizzled on top! We also have a variety of jams available: apple butter, rum raisin apple preserves, green tomato marmalade and more!

Barefoot Acres Herbs: We are keeping busy, even in the winter. That’s the beauty of storing those dried herbs immediately after harvest. Our CBD with Anti-Inflammatory Herbs Salve is super fresh, along with the Healing and Respiratory Salves. Check out our other products. Glycerides have a shelf life of up to two years, while tinctures have been known to last 10 years under proper storage conditions. There are lots of yucky things going around right now; help support your body with Vitamin C Tincture and Elderberry Syrup.

Quarter Spring Farm:
Cold weather is hard on your skin. Protect your body’s largest organ with goat milk soap or lotion from quarter spring farm. We also have lots of delicious chicken to warm your belly on these cold winter days.

Body & Soul Teas:
I made a batch of Shoo-Flu this weekend. This blend combines, elderberry, hibiscus and red raspberry leaf, ginger and mints.

Whenever I am sick, I like to prepare several servings at a time and pour it into a thermal bottle so that the tea stays hot and I can sip it throughout the day. I also like to enjoy broths or soups; my favorite is Tom Yum soup (spice level 2 with extra ginger)

Pat’s Sore Throat Tea
Juice of half a lemon
1-2 dried sage leaves(can also use fresh, but maybe use just 1 leaf)
Fresh ginger, about 2t, chopped
8-12 oz water
Honey
Cayenne pepper(optional)
Add the water to a pot along with the above ingredients. Bring to boil. Cover and simmer 15-20 minutes. Strain and add honey to sweeten.

This is made to taste, so adapt ingredient accordingly. If I am using organic lemon, I will add chop up the lemon and add it to the mixture as well. I like ginger, so I add a little bit more than 2t. I add cayenne for it’s numbing effect. Just a dash will do ya! I like honey as a sweetener, not just because it taste good but because it has its own healing properties. Its soothing to the mucous membrane of the throat and fights germs. Did you know it was used in WW1 for wounds? And, when it comes to honey, local is best, so be sure to check out the Singing Bee honey available here on the market.

Everybody is different so if you are a person that is more warm/ natured, I would omit the sage, ginger and cayenne and add peppermint to the lemon and honey.

I also have herbal steams available. These are great for nasal congestion and coughs. Steep herbs in a Mason jar or pot or add them directly to hot water and drape your head with a towel to inhale the steam for 5-10 minutes.

May you be blessed body & soul! Pat Greene

Ewe and Me Creamery:
We have launched some new products for the market. We usually focused on sheep milk and dairy products, we now have sheep milk soap.

Currently we have Valentine’s Day Sheep Milk Soaps available.

Scents like Dusty Rose,
Kentucky Bourbon,
and Sensuous Sandalwood.

We also provide unscented soaps for those with sensitive skin. The soaps that are dotted have coffee grounds that make it very exfoliating. We will be milking in April. Hoping to have on the market for sheep milk around then.

Flying S Farms: Fresh Farm Eggs, Music Garlic, Jams and Jellies, and our popular 10" Cast Iron Skillet Yellow Cornbread. Stay tuned, more Jams and Baked items ‘COMING SOON’

Quinn’s Mercantile:
We are always receiving new items each week, we have several great Spring clothing items and Valentine items for you or that special loved one in your life. Many of our local products proudly represent Murfreesboro and Tennessee.

Bluhen Farm:
We will be in taking a brief break for this month of February. We hope to be back early March. The cold weather and lack of sun have hit us hard this winter.

Five White Oak: I was hoping to back on the Market with my items but unfortunately still requiring more rest and healing time. A quote from her Dad…this is just for now not forever!

If you ordered last week, you will need to order again. All orders had to be cancelled due to the bad weather and you were not charged for your order.

Yes it’s winter and February came in with a winter stormy snowy freezing ROAR! Even for good hoophouses and well managed chickens this is a low time for fresh produce and eggs. But watch the market—the low time will not last too long. Available this week: sweet potatoes, collards, radishes, mushrooms and mushroom products. Apples are back, as well as frozen local peaches and cider. Good selection of meats and cheeses.

Valentines Day is about 1 week away! Our bakers have GREAT variety right now—including sweet treats for your sweetie, cookies, granolas, pastries, breads and other goodies to suit every taste. Our gluten free baker has several special Valentine’s Day treats, our pie bakers are also back, and our cookie bakers can put together a bag or box of favorites.

And don’t forget about our craft folks who sell online. Cards, art prints, wooden crafts, soaps, personal care items, sewn crafts and more.

CLG:  Opening Bell: Beef, Eggs, Honey, Pork, Chicken!

Hello friends!

Hopefully that’s the only winter weather we’ll see as we march on towards spring! Some of us are old enough to remember the historic snow storm of February 2021. Now that was a mess!

Bar C is having a special on pork sausage: 5 packages of mild sausage for only $10. That makes some awesome country sausage gravy. Also good in lasagna.

Please wear a mask when you pick up your ordered items. Thank you. We will also continue contactless delivery to your vehicle on Fridays for those interested, just call or text 501-339-1039.

Most items are listed by 6pm Sunday, but check back again before the market closes Tuesday night to see if any other items are ready to be harvested for you! Eat fresh! Eat local! Eat for better health!

And save your eggshells throughout the week for the laying hens! :-)

The market is now OPEN for orders. Click here to start shopping: *https://conway.locallygrown.net/market
