Champaign, OH:  Christmas Wrapping

Bah! Humbug!
Now that’s too strong
‘Cause it is my favorite holiday
But all this year’s been a busy blur
Don’t think I have the energy
To add to my already mad rush
Just ‘cause it’s ’tis the season
The perfect gift for me would be
Completions and connections left from last year
Ski shop encounter most interesting
Had his number but never the time
Most of ’81 passed along those lines
So deck those halls
Trim those trees
Raise up cups of Christmas cheer
I just need to catch my breath
Christmas by myself this year

Calendar picture, frozen landscape
Chill this room for 24 days
Evergreens, sparkling snow
Get this winter over with!
Flash back to spring time, saw him again
Would have been good to go for lunch
Couldn’t agree when we were both free
We tried, we said we’d keep in touch
Didn’t of course, ’til summertime
Out to the beach, to his boat, could I join him?

No, this time it was me
Sunburn in the third degree
Now the calendar’s just one page
Of course I am excited
Tonight’s the night I’ve set my mind
Not to do too much about it

Merry Christmas, merry Christmas
But I think I’ll miss this one this year
Merry Christmas, merry Christmas
But I think I’ll miss this one this year
Merry Christmas, merry Christmas
But I think I’ll miss this one this year
Merry Christmas, merry Christmas
But I think I’ll miss this one this year

Hardly dashing through the snow
‘Cause I bundled up too tight
Last minute have-to-dos
A few cards, a few calls
Because it’s RSVP
No, thanks, no party lights
It’s Christmas Eve, gonna relax
Turned down all of my invites
Last fall I had a night to myself
Same guy called; Halloween party
Waited all night for him to show
This time his car wouldn’t go
Forget it, it’s cold, it’s getting late
Trudge on home to celebrate
In a quiet way, unwind
Doing Christmas right this time

A&P has provided me
With the world’s smallest turkey
Already in the oven, nice and hot
Oh damn!
Guess what I forgot
So on with the boots
Back out in the snow
To the only all night grocery
When what to my wondering eyes should appear
In the line it’s that guy I’ve been chasing all year
“Spendin’ this one alone,” he said
“Gimme a break, this year’s been crazy”
I said, “Me too, but why are you
You mean, you forgot cranberries too?”
Then suddenly we laughed and laughed
Caught on to what was happening
That Christmas magic’s brought this tale
To a very happy ending

Merry Christmas, merry Christmas
Couldn’t miss this one this year
Merry Christmas, merry Christmas
Couldn’t miss this one this year
Merry Christmas, merry Christmas
Couldn’t miss this one this year
Merry Christmas, merry Christmas
Couldn’t miss this one this year
Merry Christmas, merry Christmas
Couldn’t miss this one this year
Merry Christmas, merry Christmas
Couldn’t miss this one this year
Merry Christmas, merry Christmas
Couldn’t miss this one this year
Merry Christmas, merry Christmas
Couldn’t miss this one this year
Merry Christmas, merry Christmas
Couldn’t miss this one this year
Merry Christmas, merry Christmas
Couldn’t miss this one this year
Merry Christmas, merry Christmas
Couldn’t miss this one this year
Merry Christmas, merry Christmas
Couldn’t miss this one this year
Merry Christmas, merry Christmas…

(The Waitresses/Songwriter-Chris Butler)

Here you go…one of my favorite Christmas tunes! Go ahead, turn it up, dance around, and get all Christmas groovy!!

This tune will always remind me of college finals, the 80s, rushing home to my Christmas mall job at Casual Corner, and then rushing out to bars and pubs to reconnect with all of my friends, also in town, clamoring for a reunion since we had been separated by different colleges/jobs/towns.

Anyway…while I relive the magic of the 80s, you can get your orders in, this morning, before we close up for the week!

You have until 8am…get your Christmas Wrapping groove on…

XOXO,
Pam

He’s gone 2000 miles
It’s very far
The snow is falling down
Gets colder day by day…

One of my very favorite songs of the season…and, perfect for getting into the groove of last minute shopping, or getting started shopping, or kicking back enjoying the sights and sounds, or, and yes, ordering from this little local, holly, jolly online market!

If you love the thought of giving local, we are your perfect place! So much to offer in products! Or, planning to stock your cabinets, fridge and freezer for the holiday rush? Well, we go…this is a great place to do that! Stocking stuffers? Hostess gifts? Teacher gifts? Anyone gifts? Why not turn them onto some local love?

Today, I have the Holiday Party playlist on, offered on Amazon music. I have mugs of coffee, lists, and I am getting all of my last minute gifts ordered, via this little market!

Just an FYI…we will be running this market, all the way up to December 22nd, for your pick up. After that, we will go into our annual two week, holiday shutdown, to give you, our vendors, and your managers, a bit of a winter break!

Go ahead…start loading up on the market goodness! What about if each of us gave one gift of local, from this market, turning even more people into first time customers, after they love your gift?

XOXO,
Cosmic Pam
