Grumpy Goat: Weblog Entry
Well, it’s been a while! We’ve been enjoying this down time, working on projects that never happen throughout the growing season. Matt has been busy perfecting his watercolors and I have been madly spinning as I’m trying to weave a skirt for the Rustbelt Fibershed’s One Year One Outfit project. And I’m behind!
Anyways we hope that everyone’s holidays were wonderful.
Seeds are ordered as we begin to think about this years garden. Sheep hooves are being clipped and goat mama’s baby bumps are starting to show! Spring is right around the corner.
And FYI we will be reevaluating all of our prices soon so please be prepared when some might rise- I’m looking at you eggs!
The market is back open for bread orders for Tuesday pick up. See you soon!
Statesboro Market2Go: Order Before 10pm!
We’re highlighting the sensational sweet potatoes that are available on Market2Go! We have both traditional orange and pleasing purple varieties!
We’re sure that whichever color you pick will please your palette, so try preparing them:
- As Pancakes topped with pecans
- Baked with Parmesan cheese (aka au Gratin)
- Whipped up with butter and ginger to make a super-simple side dish
- Or in a spicy Vegan Curry with lentils, onions and rainbow chard
