Augusta Locally Grown: THE ONLINE MARKET IS OPEN AT AUGUSTA LOCALLY GROWN
IT IS A PROFOUND HONOR to welcome aboard our new Executive Director, Becca van Loenen, selected by our Board of Directors to take the helm at Augusta Locally Grown.
Becca brings a passion for building to the task. She’s got well developed plans for helping farmers build their businesses. She’s ensconced in the community in a way that will build new partnerships and ventures. And she’s determined to build long-term capacity for our small organization and its big mission.
More to the point, Becca just loves this stuff. You’ll see her at the farmers markets, baby Zoe in tow, because the farm-to-family lifestyle is a natural fit. She’s a gardener and a cook – not afraid to get dirty – but she can also throw on that business suit and advocate for big plans and big goals and all the requisite resources we’re gonna need to grow our local food system.
Please let my last market post for Augusta Locally Grown beget the BIGGEST love fest for this wonderful woman in her new leadership position.
Cheers!
Kim
McColloms Market: Happy Carnival -February Market Is Now Open
Hi All:
The February Market is now open and I’m excited to say that Harmony Hills is back and Dandelion Farm is offering their lettuces again this month. There are two choices available:

2) Bag of Ovation Greens mix – A spicy and nutty lettuce mix consisting of kale, tatsoi, mizuna, arugula, and mustard.
Each bag is 1/2 pound. The price per bag is $7.
If you’d like to order any of the lettuces, please make a note on your order or email me directly.
The Market will close Monday night as usual but please remember that pick-up will be next Friday, the 14th from 4:30 to 6:30 at my house. If you need to make other arrangements, let me know.

Champaign, OH: Songs In The Key Of Life
The album of the great Stevie Wonder, and also, summing up this past week, past few weeks.
The key of life. The rhythm, the why, the mysterious, the journey…
If January was bliss, and ease, and colliding into the loveliness of the new year, February has seemed a year long, already. A challenge. A constant eye roll…the key of life, and all that is wrapped into our day to day.
When things get heavy, or when you feel your most crazy, why not make it easier with ordering from our little local market of love? It eases your load, and it lets us, your vendors, show you how amazing this market is!
Go ahead…you all have been really giving the love to this market, since after our holiday break. Continue to heap it on, because the month is young, and we all could use a little dose of love to get us through…
XOXO,
Cosmic Pam
