CLG: Popsicles! Opening Bell: Turnips, Kale, Pork!
Hello friends!
We love seeing all the kids at market on Fridays. I keep frozen Popsicles on hand for all the little people. It’s just a small thing, but the kids really seem to like their Friday Popsicles.
We are seeing some incredible produce right now: broccoli, cauliflower, turnips, etc. Eat what’s in season for better health. Stirfry, Casserole, veggies on the side, just anything you can dream up.
Be sure to SEARCH for your favorite items using the search field. For instance, type in the word “sale” or “pork” and see what pops up. We have over 400 items available now!
Most items are listed by 6pm Sunday, but check back again before the market closes Tuesday night to see if any other items are ready to be harvested for you! Eat fresh! Eat local! Eat for better health!
And save your eggshells throughout the week for the laying hens! :-)
In accordance with the current guidelines, we will not have more than 10 people in the lobby at any time. We have four volunteers who can bring your order to your car if you prefer, just call or text 501-339-1039.
The market is now OPEN for orders. Click here to start shopping: *https://conway.locallygrown.net/market

Berea Gardens: Bountiful Brassicas this week! Market Open
With the turn to more seasonable weather our Brassica crops have exploded this week. We should have plenty for you, and at reduced prices too! This is really a nice crop of everything Brassica; Cauliflower, Broccoli, Cabbage and Kale. The lettuce is also very nice, even though things are warming up. The beets this week are sweet and delightful. This is some of the best quality of the year, so don’t miss out!
Blessings,
Bob and Lynnita

Champaign, OH: Asparagus Update
If you plan to order asparagus, this season is going to be shorter than originally planned!!
Bet told me that it may only be around for another two weeks, due to these warm temps. coming on so quickly.
So, order up, enjoy, because this is a treat that only comes around, briefly, once a year!!
XOXO

Champaign, OH: A Sunday Kind Of Love
I do my Sunday dreaming, oh yeah
And all my Sunday scheming
Every minute, every hour, every day…
(Etta James)
I can’t think of anything more perfect than playing a bit of Etta James, on lazy mornings, or any mornings, while enjoying a cup of coffee, flipping through magazines, or books, or looking through this little local market of love, and slowly getting my orders all together, for the week.
Getting my market orders in mean that I don’t have to concentrate on trying to last minute shop, in big box stores…I get local, flavorful, and good for you items, all at my fingertips. All the while, sipping coffee, listening to tunes, looking out the windows, and loving that even as restrictions begin to fade, from this past year, I still don’t need to be out with the masses, and can enjoy peace, quiet, and ordering.
Enjoy another sunshine fueled day…
XOXO,
Cosmic Pam

We have several scents available, including a bug repellant variety. If your family loves chicken, now is the time to get them some of the tastiest birds around from your friends at Quarter Spring.
Mama D’s Bakery: Hi everyone! We have everything available this week! We have Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies, Strawberry Swirl Bread, Raspberry Swirl Bread, and Apple Cinnamon Swirl Bread, Blueberry Muffins, Crusty French Bread, Organic White Wheat Bread, Mocha Muffins, Chocolate Swiss Roll, Cinnamon Rolls, Caramel Apple Cinnamon Rolls, Blueberry Lemon Yeast Rolls, Banana Bread and Pumpkin Bread(with the option of nuts or not), Bagels(plain, cinnamon-raisin, blueberry, and everything), Donuts(cake and yeast), Cream Cheese Danishes, Pies(chocolate fudge, pecan, chocolate chip pecan, pumpkin and sweet potato), Cookies, Granola and Protein Bars, Yeast Breads, Sourdough Breads, and Fruit Scones. Thanks so much to everybody for your business!!
Belle Fleur Organics: Enjoy our Bright Spring Lettuce Mix, Red Russian Kale, Rainbow Swiss Chard. We will also have a small stand set up during delivery to introduce ourselves and bring other delicious produce.
RnR Farm: Excited to offer, Baby Japanese Mustard Greens (delicious in stir fries), Free Range Organic Fed Chicken Eggs, Baby Kale Blend, Red Leaf Lettuce, Red Leaf Lettuce Heads, Romaine Trio, Lettuce Blend and Costata Romanesca Zucchini – it is nuttier and richer flavor than typical zucchini you find elsewhere.
Sassy Cassies: Due to higher gas prices (driving from Nashville) Sassy Cassies will only be available on the 1st and 3rd weeks of the month.
Dogwood Valley Greenhouse: Dogwood Valley Greenhouse is overflowing with tomato plants, finally. The weather has been too unpredictable to harden them off, but it is time they were in your yard doing that, rather than in mine. All the varieties I am offering this year are heirlooms, and several have very multi-colored fruits. I have added several different varieties to my listings this year. These plants have been inside too long, where they did not get enough light, and are therefore a bit “leggy.” (I had planned to list them by May 1, but the weather has not cooperated.) But if you plant them deeply, they will grow fantastic root systems out of the long underground stem, and bear even larger harvests of fruit because of it. I will be listing them a few at a time, as I get them potted up. If you do not see what you would like this week, please feel free to drop me a request, and I will do my best to fill it. Please remember to harden them off before planting into the full sun vegetable garden, and if you need help with that, drop me a note.
It is also time for Fresh-Cut Herbs, which taste so much better than dried! The selection of herbs will vary from week to week, as my stock plants grow through the summer. If you are looking for something, please drop me a request. I will also have a good selection of herb plants for sale, if you would rather grow your own.
Watch next week for a greatly expanded listing of Hostas to add color and texture variation to your shady areas. And if you have not picked up some astilbes yet, you should get some soon, as they are about to come into bloom. I will also add a good selection of hanging baskets for your porch, both blooming and foliage, but that is all I will say about them for now.
Oh, yes – for the sunny areas – Coneflowers in abundance, and almost starting to show color now. They will be on the market within two weeks, I’d say
Flying S Farms: Chinese Cabbage varieties: Pac Choi, Bok Choi, and Napa available this week along with assorted onions choices and stalks of Green Garlic, Bundled and Loose Leaf Siberian Kale and Red Russian are making an appearance. Our delicious Chicken Eggs are available every week. Due to conflicting appointments our Baked Items and Jams and Jellies will be back on the market soon.
