Martin's Farmstand: Broccoli and beans galore
Below is an updated ‘in season now’ list from Martins Farmstand. I have a large amount of very nice broccoli today. Beans and broccoli are both available by the box. ($15/ box) Tomatatoes are plenty today also. The first sweet corn is ready and lots of beans, basil, spinach, scallions, romaine and so much more. In addition to all this good food, God blessed us with an almost perfect, warm, soaking rain yesterday. The gardens will grow quickly now with sunshine, rain, and warmth. Come and get it. Daniel

Champaign, OH: A Note From Shire Farm!
Also…welcome back from the weekend! Make sure to get your weekly orders in by tomorrow morning at 8am!!
And,now…Shire Farm
Hey Everyone,
We hope you all had a wonderful weekend. We are so excited to share our new products with you all! We got back Chicken Bratwurst and Chicken Cheddar Bratwurst from our latest batch of chicken. We are so happy with the texture and flavor of these products. They grill up very nicely or pop them in a pan on the stovetop.
I do want to address that we did have to increase our egg prices. It is not something that we wanted to do, however, the feed cost has continued to increase. Feed is now double what we paid last year. We are keeping an eye out for more economic sources, however non-GMO is a non-negotiable feature for us and we do not want to source feed from outside of Ohio. I do understand that increases are uncomfortable and I wanted to be transparent with our situation.
Thank you all for being a part of the Champaign Virtual Market. You are the vital piece that allows small farms and other small local vendors to keep producing quality products that you just cannot get from the big box guys.
Thank you!
Nicole Doyle @ The Shire Farm
Lathemtown Farm Fresh Market: This Week at the Market
Another hot summer day! It’s hard to believe we’re already over half way through the summer break for the kids!
I am hoping the beautiful tomatoes I have hanging on the vines will finally ripen this week. My new cherry tomato bed is beginning to ripen – I’m so excited to offer these. They are super sweet “Champagne Bubbles” and “Chadwick Cherry.” I plan to be making lots of sauce with these, too!
Peppers are coming in , so find these in the stand – sweet and hot ones.
We will also be adding another vendor to the market. We have a local roaster here in Lathemtown that I will add for next week’s market. Let me know if there is a particular type you are interested in seeing. Decaf? Flavored? Bean or ground?
Have a great week!

Grower’s News:
Welcome Our New Grower to the Market:
Sundae’s Best Dog Treatery: We make homemade dog treats with natural ingredients and NO added preservatives.
When Sundae was adopted through P.A.W.S. in 2019, she was a scared and lonely pup who had only known fending for herself in the streets of Murfreesboro, TN. We loved on her and nurtured her in every way to make her the healthy, happy, energetic dog she is today! However, she developed some tummy issues, and a dietary change was in order, including the treats she was given every day. We decided to bake her treats ourselves so we could be sure of what she was getting, and she LOVED them! After sharing them with some friends (whose pups also loved them), we decided to start this treatery to bring them to more dogs (and their families!).
LOOKS WHO IS BACK….Pinky’s Micros!
We grow all different kinds of microgreens. Ones that everyone always can find at stores and some that people neverever seen before besides in high end restaurants. I want to bring people fresh microgreens so they can enjoy the health benefits plus also feel like a chef at home. We have our Basic Salad Mix, Broccoli, Pea, Radish and Sunflower
Bean Man:

Thweet Things:
New item this week will take yourself into a homespun future with some wisdom from the past. The cottagecore/ farmcore gathering apron is for much more than just the garden. Use it for: Collecting eggs, harvesting vegetables, hanging laundry/ clothespins, planting the garden, fruit picking, childcare, homeschooling, and family walks, or carrying garden tools and seed packets. The wide waistband prevents sagging when full of fragile eggs or fruit from the orchard and the deep pocket will keep everything safe from falling out. The pocket has a drawstring that can be tied to a loop at the waistband for keeping eggs and other goods safe. Added last week handmade Japanese style knot bags in three sizes. They have multiple uses including project bags for embroidery or knitting, book bags, market bags, garden picking bags…anything you need to tote.
Rus-T-Farm:
We have a good selection of our Angus Beef and Pork products this week.
