Frontier Farms: Good mid-November morning
I was waiting to make sure the greenhouse faired well in the 23 degree water before I posted. It did awesome!! Look forward to seeing everyone on Wednesday
Middle Tennessee Locally Grown: New Veggies (maybe more)
Ordering will be open till Tuesday evening at 10 pm. Please share this newsletter with a friend and invite them to place an order!
Please NOTE: Next week, Thanksgiving week, we will have market pickup just as usual but on Wednesday. Same times, same locations, different day. Also next week, ordering will close on Monday evening rather than Tuesday evening, to give farmers and bakers time to prepare. We hope this helps you with your Thanksgiving preparations.
Don’t forget about our seasonal offerings: holiday turkey from Wayne Diller, wreaths and kissing balls from Dogwood Valley Greenhouse. Orders must be placed soon for the Christmas items.
We also have a lot of items that would make great stocking stuffers or gifts. And we will be glad to put together for you a smaller gift basket. Gift certificates are also available. Just let us know what we can do for you!
News from Merriwether Bakes:
For Thanksgiving week, I will have several items listed. You don’t need to preorder, I will have them listed as usual. Apple Pie sugared top crust, Lemon Bars but baked as a pie, Chocolate and Pecan Tart (6"), Autumn Cookie Assortment (maple espresso frosted leaf cookies, peanut butter cookies, oatmeal and cranberry cookies), and lastly a Stacked Cake with Lemon Date filling. The usual Sourdough Boule will be available as well as a Turkey-Red Wheat bread with sprouted wheatberries, and at least two muffin varieties, as always.
The market has a few new items listed this week. I may not have seen them all, so please explore. Also note, I can only list items which include a photo. You might want to pay special attention to the listings without photos, since they won’t be in the newsletter.
(1st row) Organic brownies from Country Road Homestead, Einkorn buttercake, not new but a favorite from Hamilton Homestead, Tiny Apple Pie with Sourdough Crust from Merriwether Bakes.
(2nd row) Organic Green & Red Cabbages and Cauliflower from Country Road Homestead.
(3rd row) Curly endive, Radicchio Greens, and Daikon Radish from CS3 Farms.
(4th row) Dinosaur Kale, Organic Peas, and Red potatoes from Country Road Homestead.

Champaign, OH: A Snowy Homecoming
Happy Sunday, lovely little local market customers!!
Well, your long lost market manager is finally home, having left sunshine and 80 degrees, and returning to this snow globe type of weather. I was gone for a month, and totally missed the whole autumn season, but the snow makes a pretty landscape.
I’m sitting here with coffee, and ready to place my market order for the week! Have you placed your orders?
Also…PLEASE NOTE!!!
This market is the last before the Thanksgiving week break that we take!!!
That means it’s time to thank about all that you will need to get ready for the holiday!!! Again, there will be no market ordering or pick up, Thanksgiving week.
Also…PLEASE NOTE!!!
Although I am back in town, and will be helping at this week’s market, I am unable to bake for the market. I am totally jammed up with appointments, after having been gone for so long, leaving me no time to bake.
BUT…if you want your usual Cosmic Charlie dinner rolls, breakfast rolls, or any of my bread products, please contact me, via email, place your holiday order, and I can have everything baked, and ready for pick up, at the shop, Wednesday before Thanksgiving!! Please do not hesitate to place a holiday baking order!!
Ok…I think I covered all things market!!
Sending all the Sunday vibes…
XOXO,
Cosmic Pam
