Foothills Market:  Market Reminder (and No Market Next Week)

On Sunday, I forgot to say Foothills Market will be closed next week because of the Thanksgiving holiday. So, if you are looking to add some fresh, local produce to your Thanksgiving table, be sure to place an order today before 5:00 p.m.

What do we have for Thanksgiving? How about butternut squash, roasted or in a soup? We have Thanksgiving classics like sweet potatoes and cranberry relish (with apples and walnuts, yum!). Maybe you would like some jalapeno poppers to snack on while watching football. Maybe you’d like to save yourself the trouble of making a dessert by picking up some Fantasy Fudge or homemade brownies. Maybe you could use simple collard greens to cut through the fat and sugar in a typical Thanksgiving meal. Maybe you just don’t want to bother with a turkey and would like some beef steaks o the grill or a roast in the slow cooker.

Browse the market between now and 5:00 p.m. We’ll have your order ready for pickup tomorrow afternoon!

Make local food part of your Thanksgiving!

Lathemtown Farm Fresh Market:  The Holidays Are Upon Us!

Yep, it’s officially the holiday season! I’ve seen all the lights on the houses on my street so I know it’s that time LOL! I had better get busy – I’m behind on that! I know this weather now certainly makes it feel like winter is here…
This week I have added the Thanksgiving options for those of you that may be traveling and want to bring some things with you. This week will operate the same as usual – order today through Wednesday and pick up Saturday at the stand.
Next week we will have a change in schedule. Ordering will open Saturday and close Sunday night for pick up on Wednesday from our front porch. The only items listed will be the ones that start with “Holiday – Item Name.” The farmstand will only be open if the weather stays well above freezing. Look for the usual email reminder that the market is open.
If you have any specific requests, just let me know well ahead of time and I will try to accommodate you.
Have a great week and stay warm!!! I plan on making one of the Hot Toddy’s from our market – try them!
