Champaign, OH: Can't You See
Ride me a southbound, all the way to Georgia now…
(The Marshall Tucker Band)
Can’t You See…well, what a perfect Monday morning song…for one, who doesn’t just want to belt this tune out, whenever you hear it? Two, Can’t You See how amazing this market is, each and every week? Three…I’ve seen this band, more times than I can count, all across the United States. Not as much as I’ve seen The Grateful Dead, but it’s been a whole lot of times.
And, this song, in my bag of trivia about my life…
When I lived in California, a bunch of us were running around on our day off from our monthly flight schedules. I used to have a friend who lived in London, but also had a house in Malibu. When that friend was in town, the house was a big party. One day, we were all kicking around in that area of the beach, I was checking the times because I had about 32 hours before I had to check in to work a three day trip to New York, and then we all decided to head out to dinner. We were walking along, and there was a crowd all gathered on the beach. We could hear music, so we went to investigate. And, blowing our minds were the likes of Little Feat band members, a few Marshall Tucker members, and Jimmy Buffett. All just jamming away. Most incredible. And, everyone was just chill, just appreciating the vibe. The gift. And, then they all started playing this song, with their own variations.
More trivia…I used to be friends with a band in Florida. A cover band, but they were amazing. One birthday, they called me up on stage to sing this plus another song. (You know my voice, and you know I cannot sing…lol…but, hey, a few cocktails in, and…)
Anyway, all of my rambling to say it’s Monday, and can’t you see…you must get those market orders in…
XOXO,
Cosmic Pam
Have a sunshine kind of week…and, always carry a song in your heart…
