Market News
Good morning!
Happy Valentine’s Day market family!
BIG NEWS!! Beginning March 2, we will move the pickup location to L & L Contractors at 25 S Public Square, Murfreesboro. This is a permanent move!
We thank Rod and Maura at Southern Stained Glass for providing the market with such a wonderful pickup location for many years!!

Product News:
Sean with Nuance Coffee & Tea adds:
Nuance Coffee & Tea has added 5 new Matcha style teas, to our offerings, this week. These tea, and herbal leaves, have been ground into a super-fine powder so that you can drink the entire leaf for maximum strength antioxidant, vitamin, and mineral absorption into your body. Simply dissolve into hot water or blend into milk, juices, Smoothies, or any other favorite beverage. Blending with a Magic Bullet blender works great for this style of tea. Our Matcha products contains NO fillers, or sugar, which add unnecessary, artificial, weight to the package. They are just pure leaves and nothing else.
They are:
1. Elephant Kenya Ivory White Matcha – (FT), (ETP)
2. Kenya Green Flamingo Matcha – (FT) (Org.)
3. Kenyan Black Matcha – (FT), (ETP)
4. Malawi Banda Green Matcha – (FT)
5. Yerba Mate – Ground Matcha Style – (Org.)
Thank you and, as always, “Enjoy”!
Alfresco Pasta has added Spinach Fettuccine in 1 or 2 pounds! This would be incredible with their pesto, a bit of cream and seared greens. Maybe a hunk of warm bread from Flying S or Double Star Bar Farms
Rocky Glade Farm and Erdmann Farm continue to add vegetables to the market offerings! What a welcomed site that is!!
ALSO Stones River Market has gift certificates listed! What an incredible gift to share with someone…. as a housewarming, a new friend, Mother or
Fathers day or just to something wonderful to share with someone who doesn’t quite understand “buying and supporting local” or whole foods eating.
Again, we thank you for the support of this market and the growers/makers who rely on you for their livelihood. What an incredible community this market truly is!
See you Wednesday,
Ashleigh & Tracey

Updates
This week we have a new grower to join our wonderful cadre of producers. The Rice Depot has started selling their wonderful gourmet rice mixes through ALFN. Now, you can pick up Basmati rice, Arkansas Gone Cajun and other rice mixes through our website. 100% of the proceeds that go back to Rice Depot help in feeding hungry families in Arkansas. Look for the Depot’s products under the new Grain category on the left-hand side of the market page. Welcome to ALFN, Rice Depot!!
Speaking of grain, ALFN is embarking on a data adventure that may culminate in a new project. In the pursuit to truly grow into a one-stop-shop experience, ALFN would like to gauge interest in supplying bulk products such as grains and legumes for our members. Would you be interested in not only purchasing local eggs and produce, but organic grains through ALFN? We have put together a quick survey to measure the interest. Let’s add some good ’ol incentive to this request. For those who respond to the survey before the market closes on this Wednesday, respondents will enter a drawing for 3 free months of membership. The winner will be announced next week. What you say? Give us five minutes and help us gauge the interest. Here is the survey: Bulk Products Survey. Thanks for your help!!
Finally, on February 27th, we will have our second Community Market Day. I’m looking for any local musicians or members who would like to “show-and-tell” a skill or talent. If you have a recipe, cooking method, gardening method or circus skill please share! Read a good book you think our members would enjoy? Offer to review the book for us! The more we share, barter and trade our local gifts, the more robust our local economy becomes. Shoot me an email if you are interested: [email protected].
Thanks!
