Champaign, OH:  World Without Tears

If we lived in a world without tears
How would misery know
Which back door to walk through
How would trouble know
Which mind to live inside of
How would sorrow find a home…
(World Without Tears-Lucinda Williams)

Because your market manager has been awake, super early, on this Saturday morning, armed with coffee, and bluesy music on the Cowboy Junkies Pandora station, with this lovely tune from Lucinda Williams.

To be honest, I’ve been on a Lucinda kick ever since, well, first off, your Hippie leader joined a spin class/indoor cycling class at the YMCA. I am in Paul’s class, so, if you want to see the Hippie cycle to Paul’s coaching, join the class!! You already know us from Thursday evenings!! Anyway…Paul plays the most kick ass playlists during class. And, he turns the class into a Name That Tune/Artist, while you are cycling yourself into oblivion! It’s fun, it keeps your mind not only on the movement, but on the music, the rhythm, and everything just all connects.

So much like this market…all of the parts of the market, come together, to make it all work! The vendors, the customers, the staff of the Y, the products…and, as your fearless leader, I hope through my years of bringing you tune after tune, I help to keep the beat of the market strong!

Anyway…one of his selections, the other day, was a Lucinda tune, and now I cannot quit listening to her!

The market is rockin’, new products were added, and it’s a great time to groove with us!

XOXO,
Cosmic Pam

PICKUP TIME is Wednesday from 5-6:30pm!

Thank you for choosing Northeast Georgia Locally Grown as a way to support your local producers. This online farmers market allows you to buy directly from multiple farms committed to chemical-free and local produce all year long! CHEMICAL-FREE means produce and pastures grown without synthetic fertilizers, herbicides, fungicides, or insecticides. LOCAL means within 80 miles from the market pickup locations (usually much much closer). Do you know someone who grows chemical-free food in the area? Get them in touch with us. Know someone who wants fresh food? Spread the word. Put the two together, and that’s growing organically!

Yalaha, FL:  New Year Clean Up

If you are not an active customer of the market but are somehow on the list to get mailings and you don’t want to be, please let me know. [email protected]

If you have signed up for the market but for some reason you never get mailings and your account keeps being deactivated, that is probably because your e-mail service keeps bouncing the e-mails. If you can’t get our e-mails, your account automatically gets deactivated. If you want to get the mail, please add us to your “white list” and try again.

This is a LOCAL market. We are in Central Florida and don’t ship fresh produce. If you can’t come pick up the produce then please don’t order.

I am going to clean up the membership list. If you are not in Florida I’m going to delete your account. (If for some reason you want to keep your account and get mailings please contact me [email protected] to explain why so I don’t delete you.)

Anyone who has an e-mail address that keeps bouncing e-mails (and they don’t have a local address listed) gets deleted immediately.

If you have a local address but keep getting unsubscribed I’m assuming your e-mail service or program has a spam blocker that automatically follows every link in the e-mail (which includes the unsubscribe link which automatically bumps you off the active list.)

Augusta Locally Grown:  THE ONLINE FARMERS MARKET IS OPEN AT AUGUSTA LOCALLY GROWN

Happy 2019!

As we welcome the New Year, we also welcome two new market managers to the ALG OnLine Farmers Market. Please give a warm hello to Katie Wilson at the AJCC location and Cassidy Usry at the Clubhou.se location. They both start training this Tuesday!!

In doing so, we also express deep, heartfelt appreciation to our outgoing market managers: Amy Sutter and Susannah Johnson. Both of these remarkable woman are farmers who — bottom line — want and need to spend more time working their farms!!

But don’t worry! Augusta Locally Grown will continue to work with Amy and Susannah in totally farm-fun ways! Susannah will host a “Ladies Homestead Gathering” with us on Sat Feb 2 at the Clubhou.se, and we encourage you to save the date!! Of course, Amy’s already got loads of delicious workshops ideas planned for “White Hills Farm.”

Thank you for continuing to support local farmers in myriad ways! And if you’re looking for more, check out our 2019 Events Calendar at augustalocallygrown.org.

Cheers!

Champaign, OH:  This Will Be Our Year

The warmth of your love
Is like the warmth of the sun
And this will be our year
Took a long time to come…
(This Will Be Our Year-The Zombies)

Catchy little tune to usher in the first market of 2019!! And, may I add a very heartfelt Happy New Year, and, a belated Merry Christmas! Hoping everyone had a lovely holiday!

Your market manager had the most lovely of holidays, and spent the day, today, taking down all of the twinkling lights cleaned off the dust, and made the house all anew, and ready to face what should be a very fascinating year!

So, with that all said, let’s get this first party of the year started!!

The vendors are all excited to be live, again, as well as your market managers! I am opening the market for ordering, tonight, but maybe keep checking back over the next two days, as vendors add product, but were just too hazed out in holiday mode to get it all done. And, by vendors, I mean me, your market manager…lol.

I will have all of my Hippie and the Farmer listings updated, and new product added, in the morning!!

What can I say? It’s been a long, long time since I let weeks stretch out, in front of me, with nothing calling my name…

Ok…go, order, check back tomorrow, keep showing us the love that you showed us for most of 2018!!

This Will Be Our Year!
XOXO,

Cosmic Pam
