Heritage Farm :  Farm Store is open--Please read!!!!!

All,

Farm store is now open with limited inventory. We received our first order of beef for the retail packages. We may not be able to fill all orders until the rest of the beef comes in but we do have extra of some cuts that are now listed for sale. The pork is still processing and we will list retail cuts for sale as soon as we have it in hand so we can verify delivery times.

We will e-mail each customer as to upcoming delivery schedules. Right now we are scheduled to deliver on 05/23 for farm truck and home delivery but we will verify that as soon as we can.

If you have any questions about open or new orders please just e-mail and we will reply as soon as we can.

Thanks for your patience as we adjust to the new normal!!

Place your orders anytime between now and close of business on 05/21/2020 for expected delivery on 05/23.

Thanks,
The Hutchins Family

Miami County Locally Grown:  King's Chicken Restocked!!

We now have many favorite products from King’s Poultry Farm back in stock, with more to come!!

Boneless Skinless Breasts

Chicken Drums, Thighs and Wings

Apple Chicken Brats and Cheddar Chicken Brats

And even Whole Broilers!

They’ve ramped up production to try and meet the ever-increasing demand, and are working so hard to keep us in supply of their many favorite cuts.

We’ve always been amazed by this multi-generational family farm that truly does it all – raise their own chickens and turkeys, and handle the processing and packaging for both their own and almost every small poultry producer you could find in our area – even from all over Ohio and the surrounding states!

We’re fortunate to have King’s in our own backyard when others drive from Indiana and Pennsylvania to have the King family process their home-raised chickens, especially when they can offer Certified Organic processing and labeling with their own on-site inspector!

Isn’t it wonderful to know and support your local farmer? :-)

McColloms Market:  Reminder - Order Pick Up Today

Hi All:

Just a reminder regarding the pick-up of orders today.

They should be ready by 4:30ish. My plan is to package up and label all of the orders and place them on my front porch so that noone will have to deal with touching door knobs, etc.

I’ll be wearing gloves and a mask when I do the packaging. I’ll also mark what you owe on your order and leave an envelope for your payment.

If you’d prefer that I walk your order out to your car, I’m happy to do that as well. Just give me a call once you’ve arrived.

Thanks a million and stay well.

Champaign, OH:  Higher Ground

Till I reach my highest ground
No one’s gonna bring me down…
(Higher Ground-Stevie Wonder)

Note of Interest: When I was a flight attendant of the 1980s, Stevie Wonder was a regular passenger of mine, when I used to work the LAX-JFK night flights…lovely, lovely man.

Happy Friday, and happy shout out to last night’s customer who blared me some Stevie Wonder from her car! And, to all the customers who love to play me a melody, or ask about my sunglasses, or just have general compliments about the market, and put little love notes in with their payments…

This market, the customers, the vendors…what a local lovefest.

We are open, for the week of ordering. We say hello to a new vendor! Misty, of CrisMis farm with her body products, and exciting…she carries products for men, as well!! And, sage sticks…anyway, check it all out!

Update on beef…our beef producers both tell me that it won’t be long before they get reloaded from the processers!! The animals are in, but the waiting is the hardest part. Don’t worry…it won’t be much longer!

We await updates, as well, on the next round of asparagus! Mother Nature seems like she is FINALLY going to start giving the growers some love!!

Speaking of Mother Nature…she really did a nasty turn on us, last night. Thank you, to all who were waiting on orders during that crazy storm. We tried to fight the wind and downpours to still get you back on the road, in a timely manner!

I am headed back to the greenhouse, now, to help with the Friday orders. Of course, the skies look like rain, again…

Oh well…we are all riding on this higher ground of love, and we thank you, kindly…

XOXO,
Cosmic Pam
