Hello
This is a pickup reminder for those of you who ordered this week. If you ordered milk WITHOUT deposit, don’t forget to bring your bottles :)

Please remember that although the doors are open before 3pm, we are still getting everything ready for the market. If you arrive before 3pm, you are welcome to come in and sit while you wait. In order to avoid mistakes, we will not check anyone out before 3pm. Thank you for understanding.
If something comes up that you cannot personally pick up your order today, please contact someone to pick it up for you.

Did you see the harvest moon this week? We hope it put everyone in the mood to check out what our growers have been harvesting just for you! It is pumpkin season and we have the pumpkin goods for you! Drewry’s beautiful selection of pumpkins and winter squash are tasty and decorative, but they also have some scrumptious fall-scented candles! Kaitlyn’s Sweets and Treats has some really cute cupcakes iced with a pumpkin design that come in mini and standard sizes! Kaitlyn is also offering a new chocolate cookie filled with peanut butter and prizewinning individual double chocolate brownies! Have you tried McAnulty Mercantile’s pumpkin spice granola or their dog treats for your best friend? Goody Gang’s freeze dried candy corn is a different take on a fall snack and Pawpaw’s pecans go great in fall recipes and for healthy snacks! Lucky Star has banana walnut bread and homegrown peanuts for fall-feeling munchies! Isn’t She Sweet is baking this week if you are craving her cinnamon rolls or if you would like to try her spiced cider cookies! Isn’t She Sweet and Connor’s Garden and Sweets both have banana nut muffins and Connor still has summer squash and cucumbers from his garden plus some vegetable and basil plants for a quick fall crop! Victoria’s Little Bread House has a whole new fall focaccia menu! Try her cherry and almond, pear and walnut, pumpkin or red onion focaccia and don’t forget her amazing sandwich bread! Meadowlark has some great smelling candles in fall scents, too, and their garlic and herb Fromage Blanc dip and Mediterranean herb cheese go great with so many menus! Enjoy their blueberry scones or try Pine Ridge Gardens apricot ginger scones. Pine Ridge Gardens has lovely live plants, a few fresh Kaffir limes, fresh peppers, sorrel greens and her tasty rosemary herb crackers and old-fashioned cocoons cookies! Check out a new large selection of fresh flowers from Sulphur Springs Truckpatch and get some local beef or pork from Bluff Top, R&D, C3 Beef or Michael’s Garden. Even though Christal Fields couldn’t be online this week, we do have a selection of their chicken available as extras so be sure to ask RCM staff! Let us be your community cooperative for local foods and products!
Don’t forget to follow us on Facebook and Instagram!
REMINDER- We can no longer accept credit or debit cards. We will still be able to process cash, checks and SNAP/EBT transactions.
Check back frequently as our farmers regularly update what they have available. Multiple orders are encouraged. :)

Old99Farm Market: Old 99 farm, week of Sept 24 2023
We’re moving hay indoors this friday and saturday. Can you lend a hand for an hour or two? Friday starting 11am, Saturday depending on progress.
Here’s our display of last week’s harvest; over 20 different veggies and fruits.
So needless to say, Adam and I are quite proud of the bounty. Come get your health boosting organic food here.
The subscription plan “Let Me Be Your Farmer” is up and running. Pay in advance for 3 months purchases of veg, fruit, eggs, meats and anything you buy from Old99, and get 10% discount plus special surprises. Still order a la carte. The farm benefits from a more secure customer commitment and has cashflow to buy inputs like seed and nutrient. You get the choicest items for your basket, a la carte. Typically I’d expect $1500 to $2000 per quarter.
Sign up with an email to me. [email protected]
Summer Harvest Baskets: Some of you paid by installment so we’re at the mid-point, next time please plan on paying the second half, 10 weeks at $32. Thank you.
What we have now: sweet corn, arugula, apples, celeriac, frilly kale, Nero kale, Rainbow chard, Tokyo Bekana, beets, bell peppers, sweet bulb onions, fennel, garlic, baby lettuce mix, baby buttercrunch lettuce, potatoes, rhubarb, carrots, collards, cabbage collards, leeks, basil and herbs.
