Serves: Not listed
Ingredients
1 to 3 racks
Beef or pork ribs
Meat spice rub of your choice
1/2 cup
Apple juice
4 tablespoons
Butter per rib rack
1 to 3 cups
Brown sugar
1 or 2 cups
Honey
Step by Step Instructions
- Remove the membrane on the bottom of the ribs. Cover one side of the ribs with the spice rub of your choice. Let sit for 30 minutes. Coat the other side and let sit another 30 minutes. Heat grill to 225 degrees.
- Place the ribs on the prepared grill meat side up and let cook for 2 hours. Spray the ribs with apple juice 2 to 3 times during the two hours to prevent the meat from drying out.
- Move the ribs inside and prepare a sheet of foil for each rib rack. Put 1 cup of brown sugar in a long line on each piece of foil, then put 4 pats of butter on each line. Drizzle honey over the butter pats.
- Put 1 rib rack on each prepared piece of foil meat side down. Wrap each rack tightly.
- Put the wrapped ribs on the grill meat side down and let cook for another 2 hours.
