Triple-Herbed Biscuits

Vegetarian!

Ingredients
2 1/4 cups All-purpose flour
1/2 cup All-Bran cereal
2 tablespoons Sugar
2 tablespoons Fresh parsley (minced)
1 tablespoon Baking powder
1 tablespoon Fresh thyme (minced)
1 1/2 teaspoons Fresh rosemary (minced)
1/4 teaspoon Salt
1/2 cup Butter (cold)
1 large Egg (room temperature)
2/3 cup 2% Milk
2 teasoons 2% Milk

Step by Step Instructions
  1. Combine the flour, all-bran, sugar, parsley, baking powder, thyme, rosemary, and salt. Cut in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  2. Whisk the 2/3 cup of milk and the egg together. Stir it into the flour mixture until just moistened. Place the dough onto a floured surface and knead it 10 minutes.
  3. Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Roll the dough out to 3/4 inch thickness and cut it with a floured biscuit cutter.
  4. Place the biscuits into a greased oven-proof skillet and brush the tops with the 2 teaspoons worth of milk. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes and serve warm.
