Miami County Locally Grown: Quality Hay available from Chez Nous Farm!!
Chez Nous Farm in Piqua may be famous for her organically grown Raspberries, but now before her fresh fruit is ready to harvest, she has premium hay in small squares for sale – only $3.50 per 70# bale!
Committed to soil health and sustainable agriculture, Caroline’s hay fields are lush with a wide mix of pasture grasses and clovers. We were very impressed with the diversity and vibrancy of her fields.
Plus with the perfect drying weather we had recently, she was able to get all the hay in under ideal conditions.
Contact Caroline at 937-214-3371 or [email protected] for more information!

Want to change your pickup time? The purpose of the time slots is to try to achieve an even flow so nobody has to wait too long. But we want this to be convenient for you. If you need to change your time slot or location, please text 912.481.2263, tell us the ORDER NAME and the TIME you would like to pick up. That way we can make sure your order is in the right place at the right time.
THE DRIVE-THROUGH PROCEDURE at the SCVB.
- Drive counter clockwise all the way around the SCVB, keeping to the outer perimeter and maintaining a tight queue. A volunteer will check you in as you come around the back of the building..
- Please display the name(s) for your order(s) on a windshield placard to assist in quick and safe check-in.
- Please wear a mask while communicating with market staff.
- Provide access to your vehicle and to the containers you want loaded (bags, boxes, bins or coolers); e.g., unlock the back door or pop the trunk, with containers inside.
- We recommend that you bring a cooler for transporting meat, dairy and perishable items. Ice cream melts, even in a short car trip, and our fresh non-homogenized milk is temperature sensitive.
- Wait in your car for the runner to come out with your order and load into your containers. Make sure your name placard is visible.
- If you did not prepay on line with a debit or credit card, please make a check for exact amount when your order is delivered. (You may pay cash in exact amount, but any “change” from cash received will be credited to your account. Use an envelope to label the cash payment with your order name.)

Foothills Market: Market Reminder
Today’s the last day to order from Foothills Market for this week. Be sure to look over the listings again because our growers will add items as they become available from the garden. Place your order by 5:00 p.m., and we’ll have it ready tomorrow!
Grumpy Goat: Good Bye Goat Kids, Hello Hot and Humid Weather
We’ve sent 8 of our goat kids off to their new homes this week. The farm definitely seems a bit quieter without them around but it has given us a little more time to focus on other tasks.
This week we’ve finished planting the fields, the first cutting of beautiful green hay is in the barn, the tomatoes are almost all strung, and new batches of soap are curing.
New items listed on the market include: the first of the garlic scapes (with plenty more to come), a few heads of broccoli, and the first cutting of our basil patch.
And for those adventurous souls, I am also adding a couple “I’m Feeling Lucky” Options. If you pick one of these it will work similarly to our old CSA pick ups where we will put together a box for you, based on what we have available. We will do our best to make it diverse and delicious.
As we’ve done in the past, please leave us a comment if something is “sold out” that you really wanted. We will do our best to fill your order if we can.
Thanks. See you all soon!

The Cumming Harvest - Closed: Weblog Entry
Good morning everyone, We hope everyone is having a wonderful start to the month of June. This nice warmer weather means more fruits and veggies are just around the corner.
We have seen an influx of people not picking up their order after they have ordered online, we want to send a gentle reminder that you must pick up your items the week you order them. We do not have room to hold from week to week. If you are unable to pick up your order because something happens, because we do understand that situations happen, you need to send a text to the market manager, or email the market manager at the email below. Sending an email to the Cumming harvest email will not be sent to the market manager in enough time to fix the situation. If this continues we will have to start charging people a hold fee, we do not want to do this. We like to keep our prices low for everyone. If you have any questions regarding this please reach out to Jaclyn. As a reminder, we will continue with the social distance, the glass door will remain closed, so that you were able to look in and see if another client is present inside the market. Please remain outside if a current client is inside the market, you may come in as soon as they exit. As most people are aware our space is very small, so we are doing our best to keep the social distancing.
As always any questions please reach out to the market manager.
Please remember the market opens Saturday at ten am and closes at noon sharp.
Remember, all proceeds go to support the feeding of hungry children through Meals by Grace.
Thank you, happy shopping!
